I suddenly saw that as many heterosexuals ought to be certified. period. - I'd be first in the queue there!Pah said:I think heterosexuals ought to be certified by a new government agency and contolled by quota. Like the "green card" thing they should produce proof before "engaging"
*sigh* Here's the issue. When you say that heterosexuality is more "practical" than homosexuality, you're implying that there's something impractical about homosexuality. My real point (and I'm sorry that I didn't make this clear) was that the Jedi do preserve and revere life- they revere it to the point (at least this is my impression) that they respect that others have the right not to have their orientation called impractical. It is not impractical, especially for the process of life. Just because people are gay doesn't mean that they don't want to raise and nurture children. Thanks to a number of scientific advances, it is possible for them to also have children of their own now, too.TheJedi said:yes, they dont, but they are also renowned for preserving and revering life. heterosexuality is vital for the process of life. Oh and besides, Luke and his wife Mara had a kid, and they're Jedi. So ha!
I really ought to 'get into' Star wars, I seem to be missing out on some essential education.FeathersinHair said:*sigh* Here's the issue. I simply put it in terms of Jedi-dom because you seem to relate so much to that. Good for Luke and Mara, too.
Your list seems to be missing a few, dear! I've found various versions of this questionnaire, and here are a few additional questions (some are practically the same but just worded differently):jamaesi said:I think this sums them up! XD
1. What do you think caused your heterosexuality?
2. When and how did you decide that you were a heterosexual?
3. Is it possible that your heterosexuality is just a phase that you may grow out of?
4. Is it possible your heterosexuality stems from a neurotic fear of others of the same sex?
5. If you've never slept with a person of the same sex, is it possible that all you need is a good gay or lesbian lover?
6. To whom have you disclosed your heterosexual tendencies? How did they react?
7. Why do you heterosexuals feel compelled to seduce others into your lifestyle?
8. Why do you insist on flaunting your heterosexuality? Why can't you just be what you are and keep quiet about it?
9. Would you want your children to be heterosexual knowing the problems that they'd face?
10. A disproportionate majority of child molesters are heterosexual. Do you consider it safe to expose your children to heterosexual teachers?
11. With all the societal support marriage receives, the divorce rate is spiraling. Why are there so few stable relationships among heterosexuals?
12. Why do heterosexuals place so much emphasis on sex?
13. Considering the menace of overpopulation, how could the human race survive if everyone were heterosexual like you?
14. Could you trust a heterosexual therapist to be objective? Don't you fear (s)he might be inclined to influence you in the direction of her/his own leanings?
15. How can you become a whole person if you limit yourself to compulsive, exclusive heterosexuality, and fail to develop your natural, healthy homosexual potential?
16. There seem to be very few happy heterosexuals. Techniques have been developed that might enable you to change if you really want to. Have you considered trying aversion therapy?
I didn't mean to say homosexuality is impractical, i have seen instances where gays are better parents than heterosexuals, everyone has the potential to be a good parent. There is nothing wrong with homosexual parents or the homosexual lifestyle, the only thing impractical about it is that you can't have a child through sex. Thats all i meant, i hope i haven't offended anyone.FeathersinHair said:*sigh* Here's the issue. How can one person have so much sweetness in them?FeathersinHair said:Poor ES. Is there anything we can do to help?
Quite right too - infact, seeing as you have double(Not quite right, but you know what I mean) the number of potential partners, I think you should be the target of double the abuse dished out to homosexuals and heterosexuals. I insist on becoming very intollerant of you from this moment on.Fluffy said:I find homosexuality very limiting and find it difficult to understand why somebody would want to eradicate so many potential paths to happiness because of a silly thing like gender.
Also I wish to complain how bisexuals are mostly overlooked in these types of threads. We get threads asking for opinions on homosexuality and retaliatory threads asking for opinions on heterosexuality. Us bisexuals want to be the target of intolerance too!! .
