I didn't find her charade of a "performance" to be particularly funny but think the hoopla that has blown up over it is pretty misguided. I know people suffer from reading comprehension deficits but are we now running into listening comprehension deficits as well? Maybe next year they should tap Rosanne Barr. *giggles nervously* (At least she is a seasoned pro who actually understands humor.)
To be perfectly honest, @Sunstone I don't see many comedians as being particularly funny these days. It's almost like a race to the bottom of the humor tar pit. Part of my problem with the current state of comedy is that I'm a very funny person in real life. If anyone on RF spent a couple of hours around me they would quickly see that and probably come away from the experience wondering if I was EVER serious. Not everyone has the same sense of humor. I don't see the humor in slapstick, but I recognize that many people do. It amuses me that you describe her as not being funny, rather than as not to your taste.

I did think she made a couple of funny comments, but it was pretty boring stuff for the most part.Fair enough.
Do you ever listen to performers at The Moth?To be perfectly honest, @Sunstone I don't see many comedians as being particularly funny these days. I find it adorable that those who've made a habit of referring to people as "snowflakes" for being offended by something have turned out to be the biggest teary-eyed, butthurt snowflakes of all.

These are experienced story tellers.
Some are quite funny.
It's not echo chamber humor.
They're true stories from their own lives.
Try Snap Judgement too.
(I know these are on liberal NPR, but they're good nonetheless.)
A friend was once a stand up comic.
He knew that if the crowd was liberal, he could just say "That bush".
It was a guaranteed laugh because the audience was primed for
humor such that actual comedic content wasn't necessary. It was
everyone going with satisfied expectations & group belonging.
(Note: the presidential reference dates him. He's a lumberjack now.)
As for Ms Wolf, I know next to nothing about her.
It will remain this way.
What do you think of Michelle Wolfs' speech at the White House Correspondents' dinner?
The Moth is the best podcast I listen to. I've never been able to make it through an entire episode of Snap Judgment. Maybe it's the format or something.Do you ever listen to performers at The Moth?

I think you're reading this backwards. It's the left that wanted to draw and quarter anyone from the right that made a disparaging remark about anything that had to do with a woman's body, face, love life, shoe size, etc. Now they show that only pertains to their peeps.
? Where do you learn these things? I'll tell you one thing, conservatives all think the same thing. You'll notice you don't have any examples. RW media doesn't give them.I think you're reading this backwards.
