I'm not the "actress" type, so I'm generally not comfortable with "playing" a mask.
Cloaks fit my magickal/witchy/halloween asthetic. I will wear an alluring mask though.

I'm not... not all Occultists are "Players".
Though I would agree we each play Roles.
As does everyone.

And Occult is to cover or eclipse. So I guess yes, mask CAN work as a verb.
"Not Revealed" could refer to the masked "thing". But not so much the mask itself.
(unless you take it as all one "thing")

For me, occult is belief in anything for which there is no generally-accepted basis for belief as truth. So: A guy, today referred to as "Jesus", having lived, having preached, having died: All "truth". This guy having magically walked on water, having come back to life through magical means, having the power 2000 years later to "grant" requests made via prayer: All "occult"

i came for the Occult, i stayed for the "bootie".
dosent really mean anything to me, i dont know much about it. i have a basic knowledge of LHP, magic, stuff (maybe thats not what you meant).

We begin by presuming "self". Presumed-self then presumes the world, its place in the world, and an ability to manipulate the world. The occultist is aware of his place as an "actor out on loan" (to quote Jim Morrison). The mask isn't a charade, it is the presumed-self presuming the presumed-world.

To "mask" a thing is not the same as being The Mask. I think you've got it, though --you are the masked thing, and in your manipulation of the world (that which we commonly refer to as "living", and other such terms) you engage the supernatural, the "spirit". With a word, you cast the spell that changes everything.
