Arthra,
Here are some studies on health risks(there are many, many more)

Health risks gm soybeans- European Journal of Histochemistry

Health risks of bt- Ncbi
Intragastric and intraperitoneal administration of... [Life Sci. 1999] - PubMed result
Health risks gm corn-International Journal of Biological Sciences
A Comparison of the Effects of Three GM Corn Varieties on Mammalian Health
Health risk gm potatoes- The lancet
Effect of diets containing genetically modified potatoes expressing Galanthus nivalis lectin on rat small intestine : The Lancet

Here are some studies on contamination and some other things (there are many, many more) Some are repeats in case you didnt realize they were from legit sources.
Corn contamination- Bbc news
BBC News | SCI/TECH | Mexican study raises GM concern
Canola contamination- National post
National Post, Friday, June 28, 2002: Canola study raises fears of 'gene flow': Contamination threat
Rice contamination- Abc news

Gmo contamination- Bbc news
BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | How likely is GM crop contamination?
GM cotton use increases fruit pest problem-abc news

Gm soybeans yield less than non gmo soybeans- University of nebraska study

Growing Gm crops have little economic benefit- Bbc news
BBC NEWS | UK | Politics | 'Little economic benefit' from GM

There are many more unbiased studies that show little economic benefit, high risk of contamination and health risks with geo/gmo. Do you really think i would waste my time arguing against growing geo/gmo outdoors and allowing it in products unlabeled if there wasnt overwhelming evidence of contamination and health risks?

From your above links:

No direct evidence that genetically modified (GM) food may represent a possible danger for health has been reported so far; however, the scientific literature in this field is still quite poor.

...........

Strictly speaking, the canola tested in the Australian study was not genetically engineered. The products of mutagenesis are not considered to be GM, but the pollen travels the same way in both types of plants.

..............

From the Bayer court case:

Though the USDA said at the time of the crop contamination that the rice variety posed no health or environmental risk, Japan and the European Union moved to ban U.S. rice, leading to a plunge in rice prices and a drop in U.S. rice exports.

From the study in China:

Wu says prior to the advent of Bt cotton in China, mirids were not a problem for other crops but now they need to be sprayed with pyrethroids and organophosphates.
He says the problem calls for a new pest management system in Bt cotton.

Wu says options include a new transgenic cotton that is also toxic to mirids

along with biological controls and "trap" crops, such as mung beans, which are attractive to mirids.

The Roundup study:

"If you can control weeds with conventional herbicide, you're probably better off than to go with Roundup Ready," Elmore said. If weed control is a problem, he said planting Roundup Ready soybeans is perhaps the better option.

Now you are being biased. If you continue to read the first study you quoted you will see that study showed harmful effects in mice. You quoted the first paragraph which says at that point, before the study was done there was no direct evidence, but at the end of that study the evidence of gm foods causing harmful effects in mice existed and the evidence has continued since that study was done.

You are trying to find a controversy that doesnt exist, the evidence is clear, contamination and health risks have been documented multiple times. The rice contamination may have been said by the usda that it didnt pose an environmental threat but it contaminated the organic farmers crops which is why bayer had to pay close to $2 million dollars to the farmers who had their organic rice contaminated.

The china study gave an option of a new gm crop which doesnt even exist. At this point the infestation exists and it didnt before bt cotton. The other studies i posted from china earlier showed that "pests" have developed a tolerance to bt cotton after 8-10 years.

All you did was take a few quotes, some of them completely out of context and you are pretending a controversy exists. I posted like a dozen legit studies from legit sources and you havent even come close with your quotes to proving health risks and contamination dont exist. The evidence of health risks and contamination are so overwhelming they can not be denied by any rational person.

So the question is do you deny that many gm crops have been shown to cause health risks in lab animals?

Do you deny that many gm crops have contaminated many organic farmers crops?
