What evidence for God

Obviously not, Look at how many religions there are. Millions of people take it seriously and there's never been a single shred of evidence. Of course I'm a synical ******* as I dont accept fairytales as evidence.

Cynicism isn'the appropriate term to use in regards to religious claims because it implies that you are being unreasonable skeptical of their claims. As they fail to put forward any evidence to support those views and instead rely on faith instead religious claims are entirely deserving of the criticism they receive and no denigration of the individual criticising religion is required or appropriate.

It takes some time to realize that "evidence" is just a bunch of bs.

When asking for "evidence", most people have already denied any preposition of what others might consider "evidence".

Let's change the word "evidence" to fallacy, a conceptualization of ignorance.

Doubt, what one man has offered, search for an offer that one has not made.

"Evidence" is subjected to axioms, which is the means of all of our "knowledge" and foundations.

"God" is such an icky word, let's just say You and I, for our very breath brings such fantasies into existence. It's desire to be, from that we create proliferating ideals and images from "beyond comprehension".

Some people are just smarter than others, and use their ignorance to overturn a wealthy and indulgent life style.

Evidence means, by definition, something that is to make something true. Without it, God has yet to be true...

In response to this thread, if God had any proof or evidence, there would be no atheists.

Actually, the definition of evidence is "that with which one basis their belief."
The definition says nothing about truth, true, reality, etc.

There is all manner of "evidence" for god.
Just because you, or I, have a higher standard for "evidence" than certain other people, doe snot make their "evidence" any less "evidence".

What?

From wikipedia:

"Evidence
in its broadest sense includes everything that is used to determine or demonstrate the truth of an assertion. Giving or procuring evidence is the process of using those things that are either (a) presumed to be true, or (b) were themselves proven via evidence, to demonstrate an assertion's truth. Evidence is the currency by which one fulfills the burden of proof."

Evidence is also what you base your belief on, but it's not just that. It's also a word in the english dictionary starting with "e", you know? You can't just pick out one very specific definition that points to a specific example of the use of the word "evidence" and derive its meaning.

What? We were expelled from an explosion (in theory), the force of the explosion created the space around us(again in theory).

Extreme energy emissions bend and alter space.
The "Big Bang" is a misnomer.
It was the initial rapid expansion of the singularity.
All potential for space/time and matter/energy was contained within the singularity.
The expansion continues to this day in our rapidly expanding Universe.

All things I know. What does this have to do with proving God? Any sort of God?

Ah yes, but by definition "truth" consists of belief and "fact", by which is also defined by belief.

Nothing can be known, except for the self.

To ask for such "evidence" is beyond reason, because people see what they want too.

It's not like you're asking for evidence that you are talking to someone on the otherside of the world. Sure, that can easily be done, for it is seen with the eyes, it is cemented in a concrete label that isn't fickle.

Such abstract concepts of "God" and spirituality are beyond what you see, and require a bitter taste in order to burn such scales off of the eyes.

Quran-

21:30 Do the Unbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, before We clove them asunder? We made every living thing from water. Will they not then believe?

51:47 With power and skill did We construct the Firmament; For it is We who create the vastness of space. Verily We are expanding it.

Yes, so to make the claim that there is no evidence for god is to merely pick the definition you like and ignore all the other definitions:
"WordNet (r) 2.0"
evidence
n1: your basis for belief or disbelief; knowledge on which to
base belief; "the evidence that smoking causes lung
cancer is very compelling" [syn: grounds]

2: an indication that makes something evident; "his trembling
was evidence of his fear"

3: (law) all the means by which any alleged matter of fact
whose truth is investigated at judicial trial is
established or disproved

v 1: provide evidence for; stand as proof of; show by one's
behavior, attitude, or external attributes; "His high
fever attested to his illness"; "The buildings in Rome
manifest a high level of architectural sophistication";
"This decision demonstrates his sense of fairness" [syn:
attest, certify, manifest, demonstrate]

2: provide evidence for; "The blood test showed that he was the
father"; "Her behavior testified to her incompetence"
[syn: testify, bear witness, prove, show]

3: give evidence; "he was telling on all his former colleague"
[syn: tell]

Can we say Forer Effect?

wrong, it was not a explosion.

it was a expansion, big difference

Whatever, the only difference is it wasn't caused by a nuclear or chemical reaction. If you were standing next to it (for some reason in emptiness) when it happened it would kill you and it went boom, stop splitting hairs.
