Jesus Christ has realized the highest possible divine-human relationship and highest possible human-human relationship. He called this experience the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is the one hundred percent love of God and one hundred percent love of neighbour. When he said, the Father and I are one' he was revealing the one hundred percent love of God. When he said whatever you do to the least of my brothers that you do unto me. This is the one hundred percent love of neighbour. This is the fullness of Truth. He opened this possibility to everyone.
If we are in a religion: first comes religion, second comes God understood according to that religion and third come human beings who have to worship God in that religion.
In the kingdom of God, first comes God, second comes human being who is greater than religions or belief systems and third comes belief systems which are meant to be at the service of human beings.
Jesus Christ realized this possibility and he gave me the possibility to realize the same truth.

Jesus has done nothing for anyone: he's been dead for millennia.
i pity your soul
Whatever.
You can condescend to me as you please, but I will not stop pointing out that trying to pass off Christianity as Judaism is horrendously offensive to real Judaism and the real Jews who observe it-- to say nothing of the memories of countless Jews who died for their beliefs at the hands of Christians claiming to be "the New Israel" or the "completed covenant," or who justified what they did to Jews as "saving their souls."
I know what a real jew is.. You sai its offensive? ITS OFFENSIVE TO ME THAT YOU ARE SO BLIND. I WOULD SLAP YOU IN THE FACE FOR YOUR DISRESPECT IF I WAS IN A ROOM WITH U RIGHT NOW

In the dawning of an age as a new age comes along
That's when I rise again, again, again to light the flame

I am light, I am truth, I am the fire of the sun
I am the hope of all the earth the power of the one
`When men have lost their way and know not where to turn
And the future seems to lay where the fires of hatred burn
That's when I rise again again again to light the flame
of love within the hearts of men

I am light, I am truth, I am the fire of the sun
I am the destiny of man, the Spirit of the one
When ignorance has bound the hearts of men in fear
And men cry out for help, and no one seems to hear
That's when I rise again, to break the bonds enslaving men
To let a new world be born.

Nothing.
I agree. There's simply no room for entitlement in religion. While we're fairly certain that Matthew's community were Diaspora Jews who viewed themselves -- not as the "New Israel" -- but as the "True Israel," that POV has no bearing on either Judaism of today (which is a different animal than pre- 70 c.e. Judaism), or Xy of today (which is a far different animal than Matthean Xy of the first century.Whatever.

Jesus didn't "leave us the gospels." The gospel writers left us the gospels.Nothing. Jesus taught us how to be good and altruistic. Leaving us the gospels.
Gee... whatever happened to "pray for those who persecute you?"What is in the commandments? Thou shall not kill
We know them by their fruits.
I had family die in the holocaust.

Not much to be honest.
He had a few great ideas, but nothing that other spiritual, religious, or philosophical teachers haven't already said before and after him.
