DID JESUS OF NAZARETH ESTABLISH CHURCH?
Introduction from the slovenian book
The great Deceptions of the Catholic Church: The Roman Catholic Church wrongly proclaims itself to be Christian, because its teaching and practices are not based on the teaching of Jesus of Nazareth
original title: Cerkvena prevara z etiketo
The Roman Catholic Church claims that its teaching comes directly from God and that Jesus of Nazareth established this institution. If this were true, then the logical conclusion would be that Jesus would – if he were alive today – be the leader of this church and that he would also accept all the religious attributes given him, e.g., Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, the Church is Christ’s bride, etc.
The question is, would Jesus really be willing to lead the Catholic Church or would he be one of its most merciless critics? Would he accept the attributes ascribed to him by the Church? Would he uphold the teaching of the Catholic Church? Perhaps he would address contemporary clergy with the same words with which he confronted the Pharisees: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” (Mathew 23:13, NIV)Cross references:

Would the church hierarchy even accept Jesus if he lived today or would they persecute him and assassinate him like their predecessors did two thousand years ago?
Perhaps even some Catholics themselves feel that Jesus would not be a follower of the Church. These individuals should ask themselves: “Why do we believe in the Catholic Church?”
Based on a passage in the Bible many Catholics believe that the Roman Catholic Church was indeed established by Jesus. In the Bible Christ says to Peter: “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Mathew 16:18, NIV) In the original texts one can read quite the opposite, it was God who spoke to Christ and said: “The rock is the Holy Spirit within the soul of every human being. If we ‘build’ on this rock of life, then we shall be fortunate.”
The above mentioned passage is not the only example of deception that can be found in the Bible. Church institutions want to impress on Catholics that the Bible is the absolute and final word of God. But this is not true. Church leaders resorted to forgeries and deception from the very beginning. They did this intentionally or subconsciously, perhaps because of negligence and ignorance. When in 370 A.D. Hieronymus was commissioned by Pope Damasus I to make a new Latin translation of all the existing evangelical texts and compile them into one big book (The Vulgate), he was dismayed, when he discovered that the existing original texts and the previous translation of these had but few similarities; the two versions were quite different. With foresight, Hieronymus wrote to the Pope: “If there be but one … who will not, upon opening this book (the Bible) … loudly proclaim me a forger and blasphemer for having the courage to change, add, and improve much of the previous texts …” Hieronymus presumably made changes in about 3500 places. (

Anyone interested in the original apocryphal texts can find their copies in various European libraries: in Freiburg, Sankt Petersburg, Moscow, the Vatican, Turin, London, Lepizig, Paris, Vienna, etc.
Jesus did not establish the Catholic Church – his teaching is almost entirely in contradiction with the teaching of the Church that is being “sold” to believers under the trademark “Christian”.
“Let us imagine this: One of our ancestors developed a product of the highest quality and introduced it to the market. This product was initially greatly respected and valued by consumers. Later, a pirate copy was put on the market. This forgery now carries our ancestor’s name, but has no value, and can even be ‘dangerous’ to consumers. What would we do?” (Excerpt from the trial proceedings “Free Christians vs. Catholic Church”,
www.zrtve-cerkve.org.)
Let us draw some parallels between Jesus and the Catholic Church. Jesus was the author of a spiritual product of the highest ethical and moral quality. After his death the Church made a completely different spiritual product which does not benefit either humans, animals or the planet; quite the opposite, it cause then considerable harm. But the Church continues to sell this worthless product under the name of Christ. If you hold Jesus as your friend, how will you react?
The purpose of this book is to thoroughly, from various angles, uncover this pirate product of the Catholic Church that is a blatant ethical deception. In some parts the contents of the book is pertinent to the current affairs in the Church, in others it is an analysis of Catholic books. Some parts of the book were contributed by other authors who also believe that the Roman Catholic Church is deceiving its congregation.
