Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Is that a good idea? Why or why not?
Its an excellent idea. It would give a fair number of people some badly needed relief for people whom desire to engage in alternate topics that are continually being pushed out by political threads after political threads.

Some religious topics are a bit more difficult to talk about than even politics and are pretty personal.

For example, suppose I adopt a faith that covers a left-hand path understanding / worship of Shiva. I do feel I'll get less support and contributions than if I even chose some obscure political subject such as Susan Collins and how donaters see her.

But I'm talking hypothetically. I don't know that for absolutely sure.

I wonder if we could somehow make politics 'opt-in', if anyone would like that.

^^THIS^^

I don't agree with removing political threads from the new threads box. While I rarely participate in the political forums, there are those here that exclusively participate in political threads, and such an action has the potential of alienating them, thus impacting forum revenue...

...and I can't afford to take a pay cut. :p

The problem is that religion has become politicized. And trying to ignoring this by trying to ban political debate isn't going to make it go away. It's like trying to push the river back up the hill.
