What is it with the Guns?

The key word is "semi-automatic".

As far as hunting goes, doing so just to have fun killing an animal is rather sadistic, imo. If one had to hunt for survival's sake, that's a different matter.
You didn't answer my questions.

Most of the civilians don't buy these guys -- they are the sports cars, and generally they are no use to the normal population for most tasks. A pistol is a better home defense weapon alongside a shotgun (due to the spray and low penetration through walls... ), and for hunting generally no animal is going to take 3-4 rounds to kill, so burst weapons aren't useful... Generally, squeezing each shot is good enough...
Civilian ARs are not burst fire weapons. You must be thinking of an actual assault rifle.

I clarified what I was saying in regards to esmith's post, and I have no interest in responding to leading and sarcastic questions.
You made a broad categorical statement about hunting, which would be ok so long as you are an expert on all things hunting related. My questions were meant to see if you were such an expert. But judging with your responses so far it is doubtful you are an expert on anything even remotely related to hunting.

But it’s a sport. What I don’t get is where is the challenge. I have an idea; arm the little rabbits with an Ak47. Now we have a sport.

Well, what I'll do is to let you seemingly imply that you're the "expert on all things hunting related". There, does that make you happy?

You put dishonest motivations into what I post with you're leading and sarcastic questions, and I'm simply not going to play your little game.

The Right to Bear Arms is outdated, constitutionally. The reasons for why it was put in there no longer apply to modern American society.

Self Defense from whom?

1) Evidance please.

2) Incorrect: it was for hunting, home defense, and protection from tyrannical goverment.

3) People who do not wish for those who acquire firearms illegally to have an immense advantage over them.

To all of you that abhor firearms, let's set up "gun free zones" so you will be safe in various parts of the country. Say the swaps of Florida, New York City (almost a gun free zone now), Chicago, Detroit, Las Angles, San Francisco, Berkley. Then people will not be allowed to bring firearms into the area.

I am aware of a shotgun though that shots double barrels off "each rack" and is fed via two magazines... This could put more lead out than an AR in most uses. :)

I have shot several AR's. With a good scope they are among the best target guns. Very long range, very easy to handle, minimal recoil and easy to transport because they are light and often break down easily.

So they do have their uses.

Actually, I live in really quite a safe area in a suburb of Detroit, so I really don't need a gun. Instead, as with illness, prevention is the best cure. One doesn't need a gun to protect one's home, nor do they need a gun if they're smart in terms of where they go and what precautions they can take. Caution and being aware of your surroundings is the best approach.

..NO SARCASM

To all of you enamored with firearms, let's set up "gun mandatory zones" where you can duke it out with other gun nuts in various parts of the country. Say the swamps of Arkansas and Mississippi, and the back woods of Alaska, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, and West Virginia.

Then people will be allowed to arm themselves however they wish.

I never said nor implied that I was an expert. I simply called you out for your ignorant statement that only lousy hunters need ARs.

You put dishonest motivations into what I post with you're leading and sarcastic questions, and I'm simply not going to play your little game.
Where have I done this?
