What is nonbinary?

We Never Know

Or just that they'll mean different things than how you understand the terms now.

And I can't understand how someone can like bananas. This doesn't stop me from acknowledging that some people do.

As a starting point, try thinking about what the foundation of your current views on gender identity are.

Sex isn't gender, but one thing that helped me broaden my understanding on the issues of sex and gender generally was to recognize that intersex people are as common as redheads. If our view of gender is based on this idea that gender is a clear binary that perfectly corresponds to a clear sex binary, well... it's settled biology that there really isn't a clear, inviolable sex binary, so the whole paradigm is based on false ideas.

What if the old cat lady really identifies as a cat?

What if this guy really identified as a cat. Sadly he committed suicide in 2012.

There is a reason trans surgery exists, to make you look a different gender.
Can you change without surgery or medication.
Has a Biological man ever given birth.

Alright I'm now able to type a more detailed answer. Ok so I've known since I was 7 I wasn't a girl. I also knew i wasn't a boy. Neither felt right. And I was confused as to why everyone insisted I was a girl. My gender identity is complex and i find explaining it to people who aren't nonbinary typically get even more confused and dont get it. My identity is masculine but i feel no connection to being a boy. It also is sometimes femme but i feel no connection to being a woman. My body I do get gender dysphoria from so I plan on going on testeorone to fix that. But still im not a man. It makes me happier being perceived as neither but as a mix of masc and femme and I feel more connected to nonbinary as an identity. There's also a spiritual aspect to my gender identity being nonbinary to me is a gift from the gods, and I do do rituals involving gender bending getting in touch with the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine within. Does this help at all? I never can explain it well enough folk understand.

So would you mind if I referred to you as a "she" for the duration of our interaction? Which, I am sure, will be the beginning of a long, beautiful friendship.
You can because I know you people don't apply the correct titles.
Truth means nothing to you people.

You think "trans shows for kids" are specialized?

I am assuming you mean drag queen story time, not "trans shows for kids". Maybe I should take you to one. Then you would probably feel better about it.

Seriously, most of the time they wear more clothes than you or I do.
But is it really something we should be expressing to children? Children are very impressionable, we all know this. Do you remember in the 80s and 90s when teens wanted to be gangsters because hip hop was a major thing? And do you know how many of them did, in fact, not grow out of that mindset? Because of the drug culture associated with this trend, and the criminal activity? I'm not saying that transgenderism inspires criminal activity, obviously, but it does have similar irreversible actions such as hormone therapy (drugs that do change them physically) and surgery (which is permanent, and I'm in shock at how this is deemed as socially acceptable by some people). Certainly, allowing children to dress and identify as whatever gender they feel is fine. But the way it is being expressed is as if it is another fad, and because it is a "support diversity" thing even the grown-ups are supporting this fad.

Use any and all pronouns including neo and it/it's
"My identity is masculine but i feel no connection to being a boy"

My question is.. Then why go on testosterone
Many reasons. First i would like a beard and a deeper voice. Second cuz id be more comfortable dressing femme. Third the genital area changes on T the clit enlarges and can get kinda penis shaped so it'd be like I have both parts and dont have a binary genitals. Fourth- I'd like a more masculine body but I don't identify as a man. Fifth i then would have permanent effects from female puberty and permanent effects from T. Like id still have boobs for instance. And sixth ive thought about it and think it would make me more comfortable in my own skin and happier.

We know humans are sometimes born with 1 leg, we also have the truth, 2 legs is normal otherwise it's an illness.

I may live more comfortably as a Dolphin frolicking in the ocean.
I can never be one, calling me one will just increase the delusion, why should anyone say I'm anything other then what I am.
I will call a person whatever they wish, but that doesn't make them that.

Except gangsters existed before hip hop. Gangster culture arose out of a myriad of social and political conditions and poverty. Not hip hop.

Also, hip hop is generally not intended for children. Whereas a man in drag reading stories intended for children is.

And do you know how many of them did, in fact, not grow out of that mindset?
So you're suggesting that children listening to drag queens reading stories MIGHT make them more likely to adopt drag themselves?

Firstly, how is that a negative thing?

Secondly, how many stories are read to children by people not in drag? Should that not have the opposite effect?

Because of the drug culture associated with this trend, and the criminal activity? Drag queens reading stories to kids does not and will not increase the number of trans kids.

You think people adopt an identity that leads to them being persecuted is a fad?

You know intersex conditions exist.
Typically speaking, surgerical intervention (normally at birth, even) is used when a person is born with more than one external sex organ. Does that mean all such folks are both male and female, even after surgery? Neither?

Like medical science uses sex reassignment surgery for more than just trans people seeking it. Which in a free society should be their right

These conditions are rare, totally different subject.
Most trans do not have these conditions physically

Not a fad, a mental condition.
