What is the best argument for an atheist?

Anyone who claims something has a burden of proof to that claim.
Even asking for a proof is claiming something, because you think you know what the proof is, how it should be laid out, what it will look like, and so on and so on. I could very easily ask why that proof is proof, and then ask why the proof of the proof is proof and so and so on.
The idea of needing proof is philosophical, not scientific. There is no evidence that we should be skeptical, it's just the philosophy that makes the most sense.

And no, no claim is made by asking for proof. When i wanted proof that e^(i*pi) = -1 i didn't know what i would find, i had no idea how it would be "laid out". In fact, what i found completely blew my mind.

My atheist argument is that I can find adequate descriptions of the world we see around us in today's science without having to resort to postulating an omnipotent, omnipresent creator entity in order to make things turn out as they have.
So you use science as a mask? I can understand wanting to further understand the tangible like many theist, but why get science confused with atheism? Why would an atheist need proof for something they don’t really care to know much about? Is there any reasoning or logic in any of that at all?

I need no argument other than"Prove It".

Without the theists assertion that "God exists" there wouldn`t even be any a-theists.
Therefore it is the responsibility of those who make the claim to provide evidence for their claim.
If they cannot then there really is no debate and as far as I know they cannot provide any evidence.
So apparently all these "debates" are really just for ***** & giggles.

Why do you assume atheists don`t care to know more about the assertion of a god?

It seems to me most of us are very curious about the assertion for obvious reasons.

Because if atheist actually wanted to learn something about god they wouldn't be atheist... its just that simple.

Certain Sciences can be taught at just about any school or college in a matter of months, learning about religion can take years. The understanding of religion can’t be accumulated for in that such of a short time span. If atheists have that type of mind set or mentality where they just want everything handed to them and explained because they have a barrier around their own belief system, what good is it for someone that actually takes time to study and practice a religion to tell someone else about it that really never had any interests in it to begin with?

So in order for me to learn more about unicorns I must believe in their existence?

In order for me to inquire about the belief in Leprechauns I must believe in their existence?

In order for me to analyze the evidence for Bigfoot I must believe there`s a 400 lb apelike creature walking the forests of America?

Does that really seem rational to you?

You really have to stoop to that low of a level to debate, Stewie on family guy would probably just call you a imbecile and be done with it. Oh wait! But since Family Guy is just a Cartoon I guess it doesn't really come on TV and doesn't exist either right.

I find your statement incredibly ..no..hysterically ironic considering it is the theist who has his entire understanding of the universe and his own personal wordview handed to him on a silver platter in the form of traditional dogma and religious text while I watch atheists struggle to understand numerous complex evidenced concepts for years just to begin to form their own understanding of our universe before they can even begin to forge a consistent worldview ON THEIR OWN.

Your statement is laughable.

Atheists have been studying god/gods/religions for as longs as theists have been practicing them and yet still no satisfaction for the skeptic who requires actual tangible evidence for his/her beliefs.

You`re funny.

Atheist taking time to study religion. What is it that atheist take time to study religion for? To criticize it or understand it.

Do you care to answer my question or would just like to continue attempting to deflect it hoping none will notice that you have no adequate foundation for your own statement?

You assert that one cannot learn about or understand a thing unless he/she believes it is true or real.

I think now you see how silly that statement was.

Do you understand the myth of Santa Claus?
Do you understand the myths of the Greek pantheon?
Did you understand the movie Pulp Fiction?
Do you understand Twains "The Adventures of Hucklebery Finn"?

Can you understand them without believing they are real and truth?
If you can then it is apparent your statement was poorly thought out and obviously untrue.

The vast majority of atheists in my country became atheists through the study of religion.
The vast majority of atheists in my country were once theists seeking to understand their own religion and during that journey realized..it couldn`t be "true".

The Bible is the greatest tool of atheism.
