I have a question for you. If God tomorrow would reveal himself, would atheists actually believe? Would they still believe in him? Will atheists come up with all sorts of theories to explain what happened? Was it a hallucination, or some magic trick played by someone, or some other medical-scientific reasoning behind it?
I'd like to answer this. Many people believe in god now because they need a sense of home. Some need a sense of motivation and it gives them a feeling of peace and/or love, however defined. It tells them what they should do in their lives and it gives them guidance. So, there is a need for god. God can be described in many ways since he isn't revealed.
If god revealed himself, which god would that be? An atheist, like myself, would be puzzled. If I have not know of the Bible, how could I know it's the Allah who is quite different than god/Jesus? And what about the Pagan god(s). There are so many options of relevance that maybe an atheist is looking for what he
perceives as god if revealed. However, god isn't like that. He doesn't work that way.
What you're asking does not make sense (nor does the question you replied to). There isn't such thing as "if god revealed himself." Let's switch the shoe. Since you believe in god (per your religious title), can you describe god in a way that is beyond what you feel, perceive, and experience yourself? I experience my mother's love and so have many children. If they were brought up by my mother, they probably would too, well, every once in a blue moon. It's not subjective.
Name a characteristic that is unique only to god to where if Allah or whomever revealed himself we would
know that is god?
Even more so, name a characteristic that isn't of love (human emotion) or obedience (human motivation) that would define Allah as unique and worth worshiping?
Define worship and why would it be necessary to worship a god like Allah for us to know him personally? What's the purpose of worship? Be a friend. Live
in Allah. Let Allah live in your. That's worship. That's relevance.
As long as Muslim, Christian, Jew describe god as a invisible deity, of course atheist would ask for clarification. Why wouldn't it be natural?
