What is wrong with those people who get tattoos?

I don't like tattoos. I like the human body just as it came from God. And I don't even believe in God.

They remind me of lotto tickets. People paying for their own nonsense and living with it is dumb, but OK.

I don't remember where I read this but it has something to do with women and beauty. It might make her anxious because women like to be beautiful and pretty.

Here is something...

"Is there a correlation between tattoos, piercing and increased prevalence of psychiatric disorders?

Science says:

There are links between tattoos and psychiatric disorders such as depression (Heywood, 2012), eating disorders (Carroll, 2002), borderline personality disorder (Raspa, 1990), neuroticism (Pozgain, 2004) and increased risk of suicide (Carroll, 2002). Seven or more piercings, or intimate piercings, described higher risk behaviors and emotional distress (Owen 2013). In high school students, tattoos correlate with suicidal idealization, suicidal attempts, and depression (Yen 2012)."

What is wrong with those people who get tattoos? Are they afraid of something, and so in order to feel confident they tattoo them selves?

What is wrong with women that cover themselves up to the point where they can easily be confused with Batman or the Phantom at the Opera?

I have two tattoos. I plan on getting more. The tell stories and are beautiful pieces of art by the tattoo artist that I get to share with people every day. They are a part of who I am. It has nothing to do with insecurities, it simply allows me to share my stories on another medium.

You're the only one who seems to have something wrong with themselves here.
I don't think they're wrong, but for the most part, just unsightly. As for why people like to get tattoos . . .some selected remarks:

"Tattoo Psychology: Art or Self Destruction? Modern-Day Social Branding

Body art, body bling, self-graffiti, walking billboards, fashionable ink accessories... Each of these expressions depict the physical nature of the tattoo. What’s often NOT discussed, however, is the emotional side of tattoos.

Why Get Tattoos?

People get tattoos for many reasons: for attention, self-expression, artistic freedom, rebellion, a visual display of a personal narrative, reminders of spiritual/cultural traditions, sexual motivation, addiction, identification with a group or even drunken impulsiveness (which is why many tattoo parlors are open late).

Our current society craves individuality and self expression. And now many people wear their artistic expression. We are having more trouble communicating with each other than ever before, as electronic communication will never replace face-to-face human contact. So, it’s not surprising that there’s a growing trend toward communication via body ink. We don’t have to talk, we just have to look.

Our bodies have become the refrigerator magnets of quotes, sayings and reminders."

What amuses me is all the regret that's going to surface in years to come. The business in tattoo removal is not only going to be huge, but it's going to be a huge money maker as well.
"The average laser tattoo removal cost ranges from $200 to $500 per treatment session. The price is dependent on several factors, including the type and extent of the tattoo, and the expertise and training of the surgeon.

Since laser tattoo removal can take several treatments to complete, the total cost could be as little as $1,000 or as high as $10,000."

Ahh, the rashness of youth.

You posted a link where it says that getting tattoos heals your wounds. Can you give me a good answer? What is wrong with those people who get tattoos?

What is wrong with people who find tattoos a big deal, but can't explain why?
I personally find them the equivalent of scribbling on a priceless and irreplaceable antique with indelible marker. But you have not explained the problem you have with tattoos.

Your post is off topic. If you wonna talk about women who cover up and look like Batman VS. women who dress almost naked and look like you know what, then make a topic about it.

Pick a group. Any really large and diverse group. And then pose a question asking what is wrong with them. The answer will invariably be the same;
Some are broken, some are not. Some are happy, some are not. And your question speaks only of your bias.
