I was eating a ham, cheese, egg sandwich fixed on a bun at 3 AM while writing posts on the forum.....Breakfast type food is good anytime.....I think I would be happy fixing breakfast 3 times a day....:D

Perhaps this is why a lot of places serve breakfast all day long!

Okay, thought of another. I don't actually know if there is a known recipe for this as it was something my mother made and now I make. I haven't met anyone outside of my family that has ever heard of it or tried it.

Creamed eggs over toast. (mine is creamed bacon and eggs over toast)

Don't get a weird look...the eggs aren't creamed, they're hard boiled. It's hard boiled eggs, chopped up, and stirred into a creamy white sauce and smothered over toast. I happen to add bacon to mine (you could add ham or sausage or whatever breakfast meat you like). It is really really good and we actually tend to have it as a dinner here.

Thanks once again, I tried the cheesy hash brown thing and it was delicious. I loved it....It makes it so much less complicated and faster to make a breakfast at a moments notice....

No problem. If you are interested in the egg dish it is relatively easy as well...and extremely cheap to make.

One small serving uses one egg. I will give the recipe for that and just multiply for how big a dish you want to make.

1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 T butter
1 T flour

hard boil egg, cut up and set aside
over low heat melt butter in small pan
sprinkle in flour stirring into a paste
*always stir!*
slowly add milk while stirring (bit by bit)
*always stir!*
once you have a nice white creamy sauce remove from heat
add egg (and any other meat you wish to add) (Bacos are wonderful in a pinch)
Smother over toast and salt and pepper to taste...enjoy!

I've heard of "eggs in a basket." You cut a little hole out of the toast...and put the cooked egg in there...I don't know egg terms but it's the kind where it's like half-done, half-gooey still.....

Your post wasn't up yet for me when I made the comment about poached as well.

And as for the pancake pic...just remember...they're fake. Nothing like trying to bite into a nice bunch of synthetic pancakes...yummm. ;)

I like a turkey-pepperjack-hummus sandwich on sourdough, with a side of sunny-side up eggs and black pudding, and maybe some bacon and a glass of anijsmelk. Wakes you up good, even if it looks/sounds real weird.

What's black pudding? And anijsmelk?

I think it has been very interesting to find out about the eating habits of different people when it comes to starting the day.....I remember in high school my favorite breakfast was a pepsi or coke and a candy bar. Now that's a healthy start....:D
