Well of course. How do you break unbelief into categories?True. But (so far, at least) atheists outnumber any one particular group.

Depends on what you could consider religious beliefs that are your own. If you read a book and are inspired by religious thoughts expressed there, is it "your own"?

Anti-Theist - firmly does not believe in the supernatural, asserts that probability of God existing is so small, we might as well consider it negligable - rails against believing in the supernatural as there is no evidence to support it
But I am not thisfirmly does not believe in the supernatural, asserts that probability of God existing is so small, we might as well consider it negligable "
You need more categories or to revise your existing ones."Anti-Theist -", "rails against believing in the supernatural as there is no evidence to support it "
You need more categories or to revise your existing ones.
Keep in mind this was off the top of my head, whipped off in less than a minute.
But I added that part to "Anti-theist" because anti-theist implies you are against religious superstition/irrational beliefs and actively oppose it. You aren't very "anti" if you keep quiet about your opposition.
What does the term "Heathen" mean to you? I've mainly heard it as nothing more than a synonym for "non-Christian", but I assume you mean something else with the word.Paganism is probably closest, but "Heathen" is a much better term.

I think your definition of atheist is very kind to atheists. Any I have encounted on forums are extremely bigoted. Hostile even.
I wouldn't be surprised if you've encountered more than a few polite ones, and simply didn't notice their religion tag. Not all atheists are bigoted and hostile, not all Christians are closed-minded homophobes, not all Muslims are anti-American and violent towards Jews.
Stick around, you'll meet several here who are quite respectful.I think your definition of atheist is very kind to atheists. Any I have encounted on forums are extremely bigoted. Hostile even.
Easy question - what is your religious affiliation?
Please note that votes are visible.
As you have not given me the option to vote, "All of the Above," in your public poll, I was unable to vote. For who I am, "the consciousness," is a Son of the entire body of mankind (My Mother) and has developed and continues to evolve on, not only the religious bodies that you have nominated, but also the scientific bodies.
No spiritual food is poisonous to me, from the spiritual food I ingest, my indwelling ancestral spirit (My Father) of who, I am his forming child and heir, takes that which he needs to create Me, his developing spiritual child, while rejecting the rubbish.
I don't worry about the physical food I eat for the continued growth of my physical body, as I wouldn't have a clue as to what elements are needed nor where the needed elements are placed in my growing body, Just as I don't know what information I need to feed on, nor where that information is placed in the developing spirit that is "who I am" at this particular point in time.
Heathen: "An adherent of a Neopagan religion that seeks to revive the religious beliefs and practices of the ancient Germanic peoples."
Yeah, I'd have to agree with you on that.True, I guess. But there are varying levels of unbelief....
I realize I'm just making up these categories and I wouldn't expect them to be implemented on this poll. Just saying that there are various stances within unbelief with respect to theism and with respect to the level of interest in wanting to know the answers to "the big question".
We have our share of those kinds, believe me! But we also have some really, really nice atheists, too. These people (I won't name them since I know I'd end up forgetting to mention some of my favorites) are proof positive that a person doesn't need to believe in God to be polite, considerate and even tolerant of the beliefs of religious people.I think your definition of atheist is very kind to atheists.
