No one is asking about Islam.

Now, if I’m understanding your beliefs correctly ( please correct any inaccuracies), you believe that in order to be saved, a person must:
1) have faith in God +
2) have a correct understanding of God.

Is that accurate?
Your criteria is to general. The criteria is believing the Gospel ( the gospel according to the Scriptures, the Bible) .

I am asking very specific questions, and would appreciate very specific answers.

Now, assuming I was accurate in my previous post, what scriptures do you use to support point 2) That in order to be saved, a person should have a correct understanding of God?

That is a problem I will leave you to deal with. ;)
It is bad enough that they did not respect the original wording of the sayings.

Are you ashamed of being a dogmatic Christian? You should not be ashamed of what you stand for, should you?
//It is bad enough that they did not respect the original wording of the sayings.// " original wording of the sayings " What do you mean ? This makes no sense . God inspired the writers to write exactly as they wrote ( I believe, as this what the bible actually says )

In order to please God the prerequisite is required . Even before the cross Jesus is a stickler for details.
John 8
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins

Now if we can agree that this topic ( soteriology) is not complicated and therefore we should be able to demonstrate from what the bible SAYS. Not inference. Not assumption or stringing a load of unrelated verses together and calling it "harmonising " . Each verse is in its own context and should be answered/ discovered first in the context found within the same letter / book . Also I do not hold to any other book or tradition as authoritative or from God. ( other than the 66 books of the bible .
I knew you couldn't do it. This post doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

You cannot inspire me with your religious dogma's, I put Jesus before dogma.
Besides, the authors contradict each other regarding specific sayings, so you have no foot to stand on really when it comes to the teachings of Jesus.
You will have to admit that the Bible should not be read in the way you read it.
Yes this is the attempt that atheists make on the bible 'Contradictions ' . its nonsense there isn't a single contradiction . And its worth googling what a 'contradiction 'is and means.

The prerequisite to be saved today is ' belief / trust '
1 cor 1 .21
21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
This verse is referring to believing the Gospel. This is what pleases God .

Eph 1.13
says that after we trust / believe a person is saved
12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13¶In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Rom 10,9
says further
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
So, believe in Jesus. Period. The end. You're home free. Gotcha.

Normal reading comprehension is required . People are amazed when i say this ,and think I'm belong facetious. No ,I'm serious .

Barry, this has been entertaining, but not nearly challenging enough to continue to hold my interest. I'm afraid I'm starting to lose interest.

The last part is quite funny . I more or less said ' the further you are from believing the truth ,the further your interpretation/ worse your interpretation will be . And your response was a negative one lol .

Depends what you mean . There are vast differences. Believing Jesus is just a man , an alien , not the messiah, not Yahweh , Satan's brother ect
You keep staying how you believe truth stated in the Bible directly, not inferred. Which verse directly states that in order to be saved a person must have a correct understanding of God?

There is no verse that says satan is Jesus brother . My point is that a person is saved by believing the Gospel. The Gospel according to scripture. Jesus according to scripture, faith according to scripture , God according to scripture .

I've asked you to supply a verse stating YOUR beliefs: which verse directly states that in order to be saved a person must have a correct understanding of God?

If your next post does not include one, then I will officially acknowledge the fact that you don't have one to support YOUR belief here.

Yes the bible says how a person is saved today . There is not a multiple choice option . Its one way . So MUST have a correct understanding as to what this is .

You don't have one.
