What kind of mattress do you sleep on

We Never Know

No Slack
We had our pillow top mattress for around 15 years(couldn't tell you what brand). We decided to get a new one so today we picked up a new dream cloud hybrid premier. This dang thing is around 16 inches thick(our old one was like around 10 inches thick). It has pillow top, coils, memory foam, motion isolation, edge supports, etc. the works.

I will let you know how good or bad it sleeps tomorrow.

What do you sleep on?

I'm glad you were able to get it away from the Big bad Wolf.

Edit: you know, Grandma's house? Little Red Riding Hood? The Big bad Wolf?

I'll go back to listening to The crickets now. :p
I snuck it away; the wolf was eating the bats in the attic.

We had one of those thick ones for a while and hated it, the sheets didn't fit properly and it was so heavy it was becoming a major chore to make it. We put up with it for a couple of years and went back to a regular size one with some kind of fancy top. Couldn't tell you the brand and it wouldn't help if I knew because it's a small local manufacturer.

The mattress in my apartment is a bit hard. In this country, hard mattresses are the norm. Long ago, the people slept on their floors. Now that they have mattresses, they want their mattresses to be kind of like their floors.

The mattress is antique. Came from Grandma's house. Its older than I am by far.

That’s amazing.

It still blows my mind a little that I can be laying here in my tent, listening to the crickets, and posting on RF.

I know the feeling.

Until I got this bed a few months ago, I slept on the floor.

That was honestly more comfortable. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it seems good for the back, and my pain was minimal.

I remember you mentioning that on RF. I’ve slept on my floor once or twice. I slept soundly and the body felt good afterward.

'We should change our mattresses around every eight years; this is for hygiene purposes mainly. Within that eight years, you will have applied the equivalent of a bathtub full of sweat and the weight of a dachshund in dead skin cells to the mattress,'
