What kind of mattress do you sleep on

We had our pillow top mattress for around 15 years(couldn't tell you what brand). We decided to get a new one so today we picked up a new dream cloud hybrid premier. This dang thing is around 16 inches thick(our old one was like around 10 inches thick). It has pillow top, coils, memory foam, motion isolation, edge supports, etc. the works.

I will let you know how good or bad it sleeps tomorrow.

What do you sleep on?
Vispring mattress (one of the best UK brands) not too hard, as I find hard mattresses give me backache, which I bought in 1988. I turn it every 6 months or so. It was expensive, but worth every penny.

We have an air mattress (Select Comfort) because it turns out my wife liked softer and I liked firmer. It's worked for us.

Ah, I was wondering why you looked a bit deflated in the staff lounge this morning.

I sleep on a cotton mattress and only keep a small table and lamp near it. I like the minimalistic setup!

I got a new Sleep Number mattress back in May, so I have been sleeping on that. It has memory foam on top and I can adjust the softness to whatever I want, although so far I have kept it on one setting.

By the way, I slept quite well. A few more day will tell the tale.
I needed more support being I'm a side sleeper plus have a bad back and bad neck..I was told in 2016 by my neurosurgeon that I needed 3 vertebrae in my neck replaced and at least 2, maybe 3 in my lower back replaced.
I told him when I can no longer function youns can cut on me some more, until then I'm done with surgeries.

Being a minimalist .Just a mattress. However it has to be allowed to breathe to discourage bacteria. So its is mounted on 3 separated wooden planks. No pillows as my Biology Teacher said rightly or perhaps wrongly these were not good.Good weekly overnight soak for sheets saves energy and the washing machine. The water is recycled in the garden and elsewhere. The water company writes to say our house uses half the water of others in the street..

I have slept on literally everything over the years. Best sleep is a military folding cot with a slab of memory foam that conforms to the body.... I had that in Iraq and it permanently maintained my shape. I've bought a few since then, including a deluxe extra wide $400 cot (not worth it). The cheap $50 Walmart ones are best. Just not the ones with the springs.... that catch on the balls when you sit up and they suddenly compress without your body weight spreading the spring out.
