* Atheists lack personal God-experience(s)What makes somebody atheist and not a theist?
I think the obvious answer (but which might be wrong of course) is simply that humans have created all the variants as to religious beliefs, and the spectrum of such beliefs does seem to be almost filled with whatever can be assigned to 'something other than physicality', even if the monotheistic God does tend to be the most popular concept over much else - because it probably is the better explanation (as to some creator God) of these many beliefs. For me, the simple numbers of different beliefs set me off as to querying religious beliefs, and although I am basically an agnostic atheist, I simply couldn't accept the evidence for any of the religious beliefs. But I can understand and accept why so many do believe in their particular faith - if not too unreasonable. When I was an atheist, I wondered if there was a God why are there so many different and opposing religions? Why is it so confusing?
It's the same reason that people speak so many different languages, and wear different cloths, and eat different foods. There is only one Earth, and yet we all experience it and interact with it a bit differently. When I was an atheist, I wondered if there was a God why are there so many different and opposing religions? Why is it so confusing?
I explained why. You couldn't refute the facts.Like I said…
You wouldn’t admit it.
True to the course.
Excuse what? The phrase should probably be "appearance of intellingent oversight."Dawkins says ”appearance” of design because, since he can’t ignore it, he can try to excuse it.
It exists, and we find no intelligent designers. What needs evidence is the latter. If there are no intelligent designers, then it MUST have evolved naturalistically. There’s no evidence the bacterial flagellum, or any other complex machine, could evolve, let alone did.
Sure there is. You must have missed it in your science education.Or any evidence of natural processes forming the Earth, and establishing itself into a stable orbit
The faith is all yours. Your belief that an intelligent designer exists needs better support than an incredulity fallacy. What you can't see isn't a standard for deciding anything in science. That’s your faith; although you won’t admit it.
And science isn't the deciding factor for what is or can be true or untrue.Excuse what? The phrase should probably be "appearance of intellingent oversight."

Empiricism is the ONLY path to knowledge. The rest is guessing. And science isn't the deciding factor for what is or can be true or untrue.
It's all guessing. But the scientism cult, like the religious zealots they abhor, can't accept that. They need to believe in a "higher power" that they can use to set them above their human fallibility.Empiricism is the ONLY path to knowledge. The rest is guessing.
Why do you see it as a "lack of"* Atheists lack personal God-experience(s)

Reason. Why do you see it as a "lack of"
something?
Like
"Those guys lack tapeworms
Or communist brainwashing
Or a passion for Rhodesian stick- ball."
What do theists lack?
It will be a terrif step toward self knowledgeIt's all guessing. But the scientism cult, like the religious zealots they abhor, can't accept that. They need to believe in a "higher power" that they can use to set them above their human fallibility.
I disagree.Reason.
Huh?I disagree.
theists have reasons for their beliefs.
In no way makes the reasons theists believe disappear
- Disliking them
- disagreeing with them
- not understanding them
Like, "abandon all reason, ye whoReason.
huh what?Huh?
It has to do with the side of the brain the ego uses most for thought processing. Atheists tend to be more left brained while theist tend to be more right brained. The left brain is more rational and differential which can be understood as 2-D thought; cause=x, and effect=y. While theism is more about symbolism and spatial thought which are 3-D thought. For example, the definition of God, in theory, is a spatial and integral concept that includes everything; alpha to omega, including what science has yet to understand. What makes somebody atheist and not a theist?
I could make no sense of your posthuh what?
It was strongly implied that theists lack reason.I could make no sense of your post
