How do you judge?
These are rather blurry criteria after all...
Without being able to read minds there is no way of saying that an animal is less self aware than a human... has less emotion or is less moral.

All animals have multiple characteristics that make them unique. It's one of the ways that we classify different species of animals, including humans.

from all the many millions of animals we have only one that breaks that peace and harmony in nature us humans, do you agree that without humans all the other creatures would live in peace and harmony?

No. Ants would still fight eachother. Lions would still eat antelopes. Bears would still eat fish and seals...

And the point that others are making is that other creatures on earth might just have these same traits. We just have no way of knowing.

they would kill and eat but in no way would they be out of balance. we suddenly come into the picture and everything must comform to our needs and dessires.
a lion will kill only when it is hungry, but us humans kill for food and for fun. animals will only kill in deffence or in need. do you sort of understand my point?

so, you are saying that animals are in fact better than humans. unless, that is, if you believe balance is bad, and imbalance is good.
then whats the whole thing about you talking about "lowering" humans to the level of animals? when, from your own admission, its us humans who are imbalanced?

Personally, I agree with you. I think that there's something about us that's special.
But what others are saying indicates that this might not be the case.
Dolphins, primates, elephants and other animals can communicate in more complicated ways than we previously thought according to Painted Wolf, who is an evolutionary biologist.
Sperm whales have a larger cerebrum than that of humans, and this is the portion of the brain responsible for learning, memory and what I previously refered to as "self-awareness".
And how are we to know that other animals don't have imagination? We can't exactly ask them, can we.

So you're saying that the thing that sets humans apart from animals is our ability to bend nature as we see fit? To destroy it and rebuild it as we think is necessary?
There's another species on earth that does that, and it isn't a mammal. Maybe humans have been misclassified. We should be renamed "viruses".
