What paradigm will replace Christianity?

How about sharing a cpl of those with us?

Not presented, perceived. Which means that's it's up to you to explain, specifically, what the perception is based on.

This..:

...is a pretty specific and precise prediction. That being the case, it shouldn't be difficult at all for you to give a few specific and precise examples from the Bible in order to demonstrate what the prediction is based on.

I'm busy for the remainder of the weekend, but I'll try to get back to this with the supporting scriptures.

You do realize that the whole pre tribulation rapture belief system was made up in the early 1800's. Why did no christians before this time believe it?

No, I don't realize this as a belief system made up in the 1800's or that no Christians believed it until then, although I have heard this inaccurate charge before.

It is not inaccurate it was made popular by John Nelson Darby. He was the first one who came up with the concept of a pre-tribulation rapture. In the turn of the last century folks who believed in this concept were called Darbyites. Back in the day they were seen as somewhat of cult till there Dispensational pre-tribulation rapture views become popular. This is pretty much universally excepted as fact even among those theologians who themselves accept these views.

According to the scriptures the next paradigm will be a one-world religion which will incorporate and promote Satan's initial lie to humanity "you will be as God". This religion will be all inclusive and appealing to occultists, mystical and pseudo-christians, eastern religion adherents, and even humanists and atheists because it will be all about Self and reaching one's full potential, godhood, enlightenment, or next evolutionary step.

Nice way to save face when your doctrinal "thou must be this and that's",
and your "thou must be'lieve this and that's",
fail to make any impression on the world around you.

It's a small consolation I suppose, when all else is lost.

How's that working out in these "Last Days"?

Come soon, oh Lord.

There are some who are saying that Christianity as a paradigm of the western world is beginning to crumble especially among educated circles. Given it's troubled history maybe it needs to die and be reborn anew, perhaps a new paradigm is needed for the 21st century...but would that be? What could replace it? A renewed version of Christianity or some version of it, or a new spirituality perhaps? Secularism? materialism? atheism or agnosticism? What do you see becoming the new paradigm of the western world as the old one starts to decay in the 21st century that would fulfill peoples inner needs?
Unfortunately for secular types, your convictions are not strong enough to take center stage for very long. If Christianity were to go away, Islam would quickly move in & replace it; arabic would become the official language.

Yeah, that's a good point. If you take away Christianity a majority are going to be looking for something to fill the void and it ain't going to be secular ideology.

Christianity suffers from fundamentalism and has been getting a lot of bad press. I think a lot of people who see Christianity as corrupted are turning to Islam and a few to Judaism.

I really don't see a lot of western educated former Christians turning to Islam, I think many would just fade into a secular mindset rather than accept a completely different religious ideology.

What do you mean by educated. Enough scientific education usually seems to ween a number off religion. However I don't think a standard college education will do that. I ran into a few educated former Christians who've become Muslim. They get convince the Bible has been corrupted and the Qur'an remains pure.

At least in the U.S. which is vast and diverse it will be many different things that "replace" it. But mostly I think we are seeing a decline in organized religion more than spiritual beliefs.

Okie Dokie.

I am working on this, but I have been busy with some other things. There is so much concerning this subject throughout the scriptures that I'm trying to decide how to narrow it down and what to include without making a post that is way too long. I think it is an important subject so I am not in a hurry, either.

Nope, you're still wrong

Nah, in all it's too foreign to Western culture, and the West will not be traveling so far as to lose its dominance to that part of the East. It won't be Islam.

Why not post-modernism? :D

I find the Mr Men Books by Roger Hargreaves. I often wonder where I would get my morals without them.

According to the scriptures many who call themselves Christians will fall away (2 Thess. 2:3-4) from the biblical faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3) and Christianity will continue to become more and more apostate as the end of the age draws to a close. This is one of the main signs, other than the re-establishment of Israel as a nation, pointing to: the nearness of true believers in Jesus Christ being removed from the earth, a completely apostate one world religion, the rise of an antichrist world leader, and the great tribulation period.

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 2 Thess. 2:3-4

The One World Religion

Articles - Prophecy - Signs - The One World Religion

The emerging one world religion will encompass all beliefs other than the biblical message that the Person of Jesus Christ alone is the Savior or the way, the truth, and the life. The only acceptable idea of Christ will be a “Christ-consciousness” or reaching one’s full potential, enlightenment, or progressing toward godhood. This fits in with today’s spiritual atmosphere which revolves around the idea that all paths lead to God or Self-actualization. This will be perfectly acceptable to those involved with a works-oriented religious systems believing they are progressing or advancing their way to the next level of spirituality, as it will also be acceptable to humanists who desire to reach their full potential or next evolutionary stage. The one world leader who the Bible says will rise to power promising peace and world unity (without the Prince of Peace- Jesus Christ) will claim to have reached this higher state or “Christ-consciousness” and he will prove it with superhuman abilities (2 Thess.2:9). This is already appealing to the majority of humans now. It will continue to appeal until the world leader empowered by Satan wants everyone to worship him (Rev. 13).

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written:

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.

Revelation 17:3-5

The term “harlot” is used throughout the Old Testament as a metaphor for false religion and idolatry and to show spiritual adultery against the true God. This is the final false church/religion which is now in the process of replacing Biblical Christianity.

Then I think the best bet would be not to place one's trust in anyone who calls themselves Christian.

OK, InChrist? I don't know if any or all of the above was supposed to be in response to my request (hard to tell since you didn't indicate that and there'a almost nothing in your link that addresses what I asked you for), but if it was lets back-up a little:

Here's what you said:

According to the scriptures the next paradigm will be a one-world religion which will incorporate and promote Satan's initial lie to humanity "you will be as God". This religion will be all inclusive and appealing to occultists, mystical and pseudo-christians, eastern religion adherents, and even humanists and atheists because it will be all about Self and reaching one's full potential, godhood, enlightenment, or next evolutionary step.

Here's what I asked you for:

Me said:
What particular verses are you basing all this on?

The post you finally responded with has all of 2 Bible verses in it, neither one of which does anything to confirm anything but a very small fraction of the assertions in your original claim, all the links you posted and the excerpts thereof are examples of Christians telling us what they think, not showing us what the Bible actually says.

If this is the best you could do, the only reasonable (and I would say obvious) conclusion is that there actually is no Biblical basis for your claim.

If there were, it should have been the easiest thing in the world to demonstrate that from the Bible itself.
