What Sets Humans Apart?

Druidus

Keeper of the Grove
I think what makes the real difference is not size, but wiring. Hence the neanderthals had slightly larger brain cases than the modern human, however they did not leave behind art or elaborate burials like the early sapiens did, which are signs of more advanced thinking.

This is not true at all, neanderthals did have art and burial, as well as religion; or, at least, mysticism. The seven buried lion heads? Red Earth? Flowers hewn over a grave? All these are done by Neanderthals.

Probably the only place they were lacking compared to us was in vocalization, and that's because they didn't have the right mouth shape for it. They probably communicated in an elaborate sign and vocalization language.

Could you elaborate?

(a bit off topic)- But there are plenty of sites in Western Europe that have unearthed carvings of people and animals, etc.... If you are into the sort of thing you don't get taught in basic classes, check out "Forbidden Archaeology". I can't remember who it is by though. I have a few other books at home as well.
