What will be more populated, Heaven or Hell?

The only Hell or Heaven I can imagine is here on earth. I hope more people view this world as heaven than as hell, so I have to vote for heaven..

Sorry I am late and thank all for their response.

Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
If this is believable then we as works are all perfect.
That should mean that good or evil we should all get to heaven.
Logic says that if God is perfect and produces perfect works then we are all destined for heaven. Like it or not.
Most seem to believe that Hell will be much larger.
This begs the question of just how much of God’s perfect universe is He willing to lose to Satan.
I say 0.

Is your god one who creates perfection or is yours one who creates imperfection?

DL.

I am gonna have to go with Hell being much more populated. I say this, cause I swear every preacher I have ever heard is convinced, that either only Christians (not Catholics, of course, cause they pray to idols) are going to heaven, and everybody else goes to hell, or in some places, only the members of their own particular denomination (be it Baptists, Pentecostals, etc.) are getting into heaven, and everybody else is doomed, or in the most extreme, that only the members of their particular congregation will be in heaven, a la the Westboro Baptist Church led by the ever so colorful Fred Phelps. (oh, and btw, Phelps is not the first person I have heard say that his congregation are the only ones assured of heaven)

Of course, I have heard and read many Muslims say that only those who follow Islam will be admitted to heaven, since they are the only ones who submit to Allah, and all others, of course, are doomed to hell.

So, I guess it depends on who you listen to, but with any of those folks, there are still a whole lot more who are heading to hell (with me, by the way, so bring rum!) than there are heading to heaven (and if the Phelps's of the world are heading there, I am quite happy to be travelling in the opposite direction, thank you very much).

All that being said, I don't really see how a rational person could believe in a literal physical place of either heaven, hell, nirvana, limbo, etc. So I suspect, neither will be any more populated than the moon is currently.

What's strange is, you'll find "enlightnened" Christians claim they don't believe in a literal hell, yet they'll sit in church and recite the apostle's creed, giving at least verbal approval of the concept. That is hypocritical in my viewpoint.

I don't believe hell is a place to go where you will burn for eternity.
It is more a place where you will be away from God for some time until you are washed clean and purified, to once again be with those you love, but only in extreme cases.

If I thought hell was a place of burning and torture I certainly wouldn't want to sit in heaven watching their misery for eternity.
We all eventually go to heaven.

That's my take on it anyway.

Hell will be more populated than heaven. The path to heaven is a narrow catwalk. The road to hell is an Eight Lane Super Highway.
Highway????

I thought the 12 apostles would just bull-dozed them in their thousands, off the cliff or something. :cover:

Hypocritical in my view too. Frankly I don't know how such people live with themselves.

Maybe eventually everyone who was in hell will have been punished enough and get to go to heaven. So heaven will be all-populated and hell will be empty, or not even exist anymore... if it existed at all.

I base this idea on absolutely nothing.

No. Nothing like that.:D

I mean that those that have been too "sinfull" (for want of a better word) to go to heaven they will go to a place of waiting to be spiritually washed clean and be purified of their sins and ready to be with those they love.

I suppose it is a type of hell where you will have to wait until you are ready but they won't be brainwashed and will not be burned in hellfire and in constant torment like some christians believe.

Note I don't necessarily think Heaven is a place where you sit on a fluffy cloud with a harp, it is a place where you and your family will be together again.

The washing and purifying take about a blink in time.
You are correct. We are all destined for Heaven.

I believe it's about equally populated at any given time as beings pass in and out of heaven/hell/ghost/animal etc. realms. The precious rare gem is the human realm, where we have the ability to experience suffering but also cultivate the ability to relieve the suffering in others.

One can be in "heaven" and be ignorant or unaware of the suffering and pain of their loved ones. Is this truly "heaven"?

One can be in "hell" and can not have any power to hurt others anymore. Is this truly "hell"?

My point is that both heaven and hell are realms and states of mind that are purely self-indulgent..........either one is drowning in one's own bliss or pain. What others experience has no bearing on any being's conscience. Many of us walk this path and are more concerned about either keeping our own blissful existence continuing or avoiding painful existence as much as possible. Therefore, many of us are destined to pop up naturally in one of these realms. I find either state to be a hindrance toward enlightenment.

I was speaking more of the heaven and hell after our death.

Neither heaven or hell will be populated, unless you use the proper translation of "hell", the ground, to which we all eventually will go.

Done here.
Christians are always telling us that a fertilized egg is a person with a soul. About half of these fail to implant in uterus. Of those that implant, a substantial number are miscarried or aborted. Those of us who are actually born are in the minority, so if all those zygotes, embryos, and fetuses go to heaven, heaven will obviously be more populous than hell, even if (as we are told) all but a small minority of those who are born will be consigned to hell.

Not me, I'm going to be cremated, and my ashes will be given a velocity change of 11 miles per second, which will put it on a hyperbolic conic that will never intersect the Earth again.

It won’t mater.
Your soul is not connected to your ashes.
