What Would Happen If God Is Proven False?

What happens to organized religion if God is proven false once and for all?

What happens to all the churches/temples/mosques/synagogues that have been built? Will they be sold? Will they be torn down? Who is to buy them and for what purpose?

What of the property? Who will eventually decide what to do with the properties? What of the statues, or the props used in services? What happens to them? Can they be resold? Who would buy them?

What about the believers? Do they receive any compensation or are they told it was a gamble in the first place? What becomes of the billions upon billions of dollars that could have been used to feed the hungry, shelter the cold and cure the sick? How do the believers who lived their lives faithfully and according to their God’s will cope with having to adjust to the truth that there really wasn’t anything to it? Will there be help and supports centers for these people? Will people commit suicide thinking there is no hope to live for? Will previous believers become bitter, vengeful, unruly, committing unlawful acts? Would Religious Forums still exist?

Are we prepared for such occurrence? How would governments deal with this? Would we have rescue and relief efforts?

What happens to organized religion if God is proven false once and for all?

I know it's not the answer you're probably looking for, but I'm sure you must agree that there always be people who simply will never believe it no matter what happens.

Most of the religions and Church's will carry on as normal, because their God is dead anyway.
But to a born again Christian God is very real, Very much alive and is never false.

It would really depend which god you're reffering to. Are you talking the concept of gods or a specific one? The abrahamic god has already been proved false, but followers are still going. Regaurdless of solid incontraversable proof some people will continue to stick their fingers in ther years and go la lalalala, can't hear you!

God (abrahamic) has been proven false - look what happened.:ignore:

When god is disproven, "god" changes to adapt to the needs of new flocks of worshippers.

Do you mean like a symbol now or that they actually would still believe in God even if someone managed to prove to 100% that there where no God?

It does depend on which God-concept we're talking about.

Logic alone disproves the idea of an external dictator-God who rules over the world with an iron fist, deciding who gets in his palace and who gets burned in the fiery moat outside.

Depending on the god and some features of that god this already has happened.
And as we can see not much has changed.
The argument simply will be that God is "beyond" human reasoning and perception.

Someone presents you with a box and a button in it. She says: "If you press this button, you will be presented with absolute proof that God exists or doesn't exist (whichever it is). But the act of pressing this button has a side effect. If God exists, he would cease to exist. If there is no God, then it will create one."

Would you push it? Certain knowledge of reality at the expense of reversing it?

Not a problem, as I know god exists. Then again, I know that god is beyond mere existence. :D

What would happen if GOD were proven once and for all? What if the human race never existed? What if the Titanic didn't sink? What if, what if, what if...

And one may yet prove the concept of god. What happens then to the atheists, one wonders?

If one could "prove" God
It would not be God, by its very nature...

What happens to Atheists? they are move to cleveland after death?

You can't disprove God. God, or the concept of God, is such a powerful, pervasive idea that I don't think it's possible. We understand such a tiny fraction of what life is... and may not ever know, so really, I don't think there's a danger of God being proven false. Furthermore, how would anyone know how to prove that the person saying God isn't there is telling the unvarnished truth? But, aside from all the postulation, Thereisnospoon, your picture cracks me up.
