That was a deplorable situation. So much fault to be assigned. Touch my kid at your peril. This normally peace loving human being becomes vindictive dad with an inadvertent touch, much less a choke hold. I'm sure they would have been calling the ambulance and the swat team if that were me. Junior and I would then have a discussion about littering, but only after I took care of mr hands.

Police abused have a right to point out violent BLM.
Lesee. I did 22.5 years in a city largely ethnic, back broken 4 times,
3 concussions, ribs broken, shot at, beaten.........................................
PTSD, depression, disabled.
Yeah it was a TON of fun beating up young blacks protesting.
Why if it weren't for that we'd have nothing at all to do. (yawn)
Well I can recall a couple of civil disturbances that were handled
professionally, the upset people melted away, no tear gas, no injuries.
It's all in how you respond folks.
Calm, respect, LISTEN, dialog, then send the riot guys away and the
situation gets defused quickly.
From what I've seen in the t-v riots the cops increased the tension.
"The quickest way to escalate a riot?" "Show up with black uniformed
riot police with tear gas and machine guns".

If you're looking for a fight, you'll often find one. The militarizing of our police force may look "cool", but it sends an us vs them message that's not conducive for peace. Bigotry created movements like Black Lives Matter. Sure, all lives matter, but I don't feel threatened by the popo if/when I get stopped. Unfortunately, all police suffer for the actions of a few. it's incumbent for those with power to use it sparingly and with justice for all.

Why? I can watch a video and see what a public government employee is doing to certain citizens that pay their wages. You sound like the bigot, sitting here defending this bigots actions. You think this cop would treat white people in this same fashion? The problem with certain cops is that they can't leave their racism at home. Especially in Texas.

There has been a Swatification of the police for many years now. They look and often act more like military combatants than public servants. Here's a recent pic...
Look at the fatigues, the armor and so forth. It was one thing when a governor called out the national guard when it was warranted. They had the look of being military because they were the military. We don't need our police to look like they're about to launch an assault on our citizenry. If you come looking like you're itching for a fight, than you're probably going to find someone ready to take you on.
Oh, well that's different.
