What would you do if you were 27 again?

Bridging the Gap Between Believers and Skeptics
-Paid off my debt sooner / faster.
-Become better friends with my neighbors and spent more time with them.

That's I got off the top of my head. I'm 33 right now and when I was 27 I recently moved into my latest apartment. If you would have said 26 I would have told that I would have spent more time looking at various apartments but by 27 I had already moved into the place I reside in now and don't want to move.

Probably the same thing I did last time I was 27: wish I was 19 again.

Start hitch-hiking and hopping freight trains and travel around the country working as a street musician.

That's if I already knew everything about how to get by on the road that I learned later on.

We've got a street musician that has a set up near the city's commercial district. I admire anyone that can play drums in sub zero temps.

Just curious what you would do if you were 27 again, because that age is right around the corner for me.

If I could go back in time to when I was 27 years old, knowing what I know now, I would have accepted my psychic medium abilities years sooner. I would have known that there were other people like me in the world and that what I was seeing, hearing, and feeling was real and not just in my head. If I had accepted and embraced my abilities at that time, then I would not have been so lonely, sad, and confused at that age and for years to come. If I knew then, at age 27, what I know now, then I would have cut God and Christianity out of my life, and I would have cut my adopted parents and adopted older brother out of my life years sooner than I did as well.

Mountains in Wales aren't mountains.
Not compared to Mt. Rainier. I hiked up there last summer.

I've climbed a mountain in Wales. Mountains in Wales aren't mountains. Sometimes you can get a train up it.

I used to be contemptuous of the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Now it’s my best hope of getting up there.

I’ve climbed the Sugarloaf (Pen Y Fal) twice, many years ago, but I just googled it, and Wiki call it a “hill just north of Abergavenny”. Bloody big hill imo.

I never made it to Australia, but back in my early 30s I went to New Zealand for an extended vacation and I really wanted to move there, but there were no jobs to be had in my field so I stayed in the U.S.

I would like to make it to Australia someday, because I could see myself living there, or in New Zealand, now that I don't need to depend upon work for income.
I visited Australia when I was about 40, and loved it. I also nearly moved there, but soon after I returned to the U.S., I got a good job in a big fine arts services company in Chicago, and wanted to stay with that long enough to learn from the experts. And OZ won't let you in above the age of 45 unless you're bringing a pile of money with you. (Which I understand and respect.) Also, it's hard to move 9 thousand miles away from family when they are getting on in years.

But if I were in my 20s again, and knew what I know, now, I'd be on the plane tomorrow. :)

Not the hardest way to get to the summit but quite enjoyable - and the difference between confidence (and no doubt some ability/experience - the first) and not so much (the second):

But then, who wants to die because one wanted to tempt fate?

I have a pile of money, and no family left, except an older brother who lives in another state, who I never see and rarely talk to, but I am not up for moving to another country right now. In fact, I do not even want to move at all.

I have met some nice men on a dating site but they all live in the eastern or Midwest states, which presents a problem since I am not moving and neither are they. Once past the age of 60 it is hard to uproot oneself and move, especially if one has a house and is still working. I don't have to continue working unless I want to but I have three houses in this area so it would not be easy to move. As such, there is no point getting involved with a man who would require that.

I guess you mean 'knowing what you know now' about the politics in this country. ;)
Those don't bother me, I just ignore them, but that is because I believe everything will get better in the end.
