I guess you mean 'knowing what you know now' about the politics in this country. ;)
Those don't bother me, I just ignore them, but that is because I believe everything will get better in the end.
Actually, I meant having the wisdom and the skills that I have acquired over the years. The problem with youth is that it gets used up making the mistakes one needs to make to become wise. But then you don't have the energy anymore to effectively apply it. :)

But also I am seeing this country seriously deteriorating. We in the U.S. are falling prey to our own greed and stupidity and have been since the early 1980s. It's sad and worrisome.

Oh my, did I say that!

Not me, which is why I don't go mountain-climbing, although I like to go hiking in the mountains.
Well, mountain-climbing is usually as dangerous as one makes it I've found. Such that I usually did know when to turn back either because the weather or conditions were not so good or because it was probably a step too far as to my or our competence. Like so many things - and where our perception of the effort required often doesn't match the reality. I've never seen any of my activities as tempting fate, and perhaps why we never had any deaths. A few injuries, but nothing serious. :D
