I was lazy tonight and got a roast chicken from the local store and a loaf of sourdough from the bakery. We had chicken and cheese melts with some salsa.

Our turn for curry today
A quick curry, Chicken (or tofu) and mushrooms browned with a teaspoon of curry powder, a teaspoon of cumin, salt and pepper. Pour on a jar of Pataks Rogan Josh,
Plus of course the obligatory saturnalia fruit cake, today with warm creme anglaise

That's the last of the Saturnalia sampler, the one i made for Saturnalia is bigger and is currently being fed cognac every few days

It sounds as if you are trying to turn it into an alcoholic. That is terrible. You could send me the cognac instead. I can guarantee that it will be properly and humanely disposed of.

A nice, heavy fruit cake that is fed a tablespoon of cognac every few days, the alcohol evaporates and leaves just that wonderful rich cognac flavour infused into the cake. By December 17th it should taste like the "angels share"

Angels share is a cognac distillery term. As the cognac is left to mature up to 3% of it evaporates and creates the most wonderful aroma in and around the distillery. This is such a beautiful smell its been given the name "the angels share";
