When President Biden said “It's time to put Trump in the bullseye", he gave anyone an open hunting license to shoot Trump

I agree with you about Trump. I started dissing him when he ran for president in 2016 and the Democrats fielded the only candidate he could beat, so we have them to thank for what came after that.

If you or I had said what Biden said, we should not been surprised to be visited by the FBI. The shooter took Biden at his word. Just like MAGAs took Tirmp at his world when he told them to fight like hell on January 6.
Sorry. Still bull.

I agree with you about Trump, and I don’t think Biden mean literal bullies, but how could he bo so utterly stupid to say it and it got public, which any half with would now Turmp and his lemmings would run with, and then a shooter ran with it, and Turmp and his lemmings loved it, after the shooter near missed.

A fellow once wrote a really good novel, which didn’t get published until after he killed himself and his. mother gave the manuscript to a publisher, A Confederacy of Dunces. Since 2016, I have likened the Democrats to the mythical Fukawi tribe, which was forever getting lost and gathering in a circle and sitting down and holding hands and chanting, Where the F are we? Were the F are we?”

They ran the candidate Trump could beat in 2016, and they really should man up, or woman upland take a bow row for what they unleashed on America.

If Biden was talking politics with his political advisers, how did he or they become so utterly stupid as to make that comment public?
Gee whiz, because there’s nothing to hide since the word it had nothing to do with the disturbed kid who hated politicians. It’s MAGAs desperate to make democrats responsible for the mess that MAGAs and Trump has created for themselves.

And for that reason alone Biden should pull out of the presidential race

And I assume you criticized Trump for re-Tweeting this:

Here's the thing. Biden hasn't really been particularly bad. Yes, he's old and senile but as any good leader should he is open to advice and heeds council. He should step down, but he hasn't really been either a good or bad President. About as mediocre and forgettable in history as the other rarely named Presidents. It's everything that surrounds him that makes him a case.

He’s a war criminal, who won’t get prosecuted in a human court.

That disturbed kid was ver political in high school and since then, based on all I have read about him. Used on all I have read, he detested Trump in 2016, but he became a registered Republican, which makes it tough for the Republicans, Trump and MAGAs to call him a Democrat, even though he did give Biben’s PAC $15 dollars the day Biden was sworn in, two weeks after Trump fired to overt horse the government, so I can imagine that is what set the kid off and he brooded a good while about it, and he felt someone needed to take out Trump and he tried to. do it after Biden said Trump should be put in a bullseye. Biden never should have said that publicly, and it may very well have given Trump and The Republicans the White House and both houses of Congress. And you still are defending Biden? There is no excuse for that he did. it was outright stupidity. And the blow back has been enormous.

Bull-poop! We don't use the metaphore of "bulls-eye" in that sense -- it comes from darts. Do you know what the target is at so many shooting ranges? It's an outline of a human body. That's not what darts are thrown at.

If he had said "cross-hairs," perhaps you'd have a point.

When I'm in a conversation with someone, and after they respond to a question I ask I say "bulls-eye," do you think I'm congratulating them for having shot me? Of course not -- it's my way of saying they saw the point of the question, and answered correctly.

I agree with you. There is another choice as a voter, though. Don’t vote, vote for a third party candidate, or write in someone else. I live in Alabama, so my vote is irrelevant, because Alabama is way red and my vote won’t matter in the Electoral College, and I have to answer to God for my vote, and I don’t vote for a war criminal (Gaza) or a traitor (Jan 6).
And because the result will always go in just one way or the other (Republican or Democrat), all such votes are merely wasted. The nominee of one of those two parties, and nobody else, will become the President. And if you could stomach one more than the other -- your vote will not be reflected in the outcome. Worse, if you think that one of them would do very real harm to the nation, your wasted vote will have no say in how that goes, either.

Poor choice of words. Even Biden admitted that.
It was a bad metaphor. However when Trump said "march to the capital and fight like hell"
does that mean Trump is responsible for J6 or was that a bad metaphor too?

While it was certainly a poor choice of words, it is clear he wasn't talking about a shooter's bulls eye, but in the same sense as "Our target for sales this month..." In other words, a figurative use of the word.

It's exactly the same as Trump's regrettable choice of words on Jan 6 when he said, "Fight like hell." In that case as well, I think he meant things like "fight" in a figurative sense.

The problem arises in that there are those in society that have difficulty with figurative speech. There will be those who misunderstand these men and believe them to be calling for violence. That's why I remarked that it was a poor choice of words.

What wars did he start? What crimes? He has helped Israel in the genocide of Gaza, but thats very tame compared to most Presidents.

His sending cluster bombs to Ukraine? This is Biden's worst moral failing as President, IMHO. He has much blood on his hands.

But Trump wants to auction off our national forests and rape the environment in general, so I will hold my nose and vote D.

It is not just that one quote, it is the entirety of the situation that you need to judge.

Trump said "fight like hell, if you don't you won't have a country". And then when they did start physically fighting at the capital, Trump sat there and watched on TV, while his advisors, his family, Congress people in the Capital begged him to do something, say something. When he finally did say something three hours latter he said they were wonderful people, he loved them. And now he is calling those people patriots and political prisoners. Those are the total circumstances.

Biden said "put Trump in the bullseye". Ok, perhaps he should not have said that. Not at this time in this political climate. But Biden did not do anything to prevent the secret service from going to Trumps aid. Biden did not call the shooter a patriot. Biden came out with a clear and definitive statement against political violence. Biden even called Trump afterward to see how he was doing.

Both sides have said a lot of crap with this election.

Agreed

I have never said Biden had anything to do with it.
