Where are Trump's financial data and tax returns?

US federal employees often have to disclose their financial positions and potential conflicts of interest with regard to things they are working on.

The fact that it's optional for the President of the United States to disclose his or her finances and potential conflicts of interest is clearly outrageous. It's the most powerful position in the country and countless potential conflicts of interest exist.

Donald Trump likely either has some awkward domestic or foreign financial debtors, or pays very little tax, or isn't nearly as wealthy as he claims to be. I suspect all three.

You very well may be right or you very well may be wrong. Or both right and wrong.

I don't think there is such thing as an honest business with no unfaithful practice, or no exploitation of an exploitable designed system.
I don't know if I'm right, but his behavior on the campaign calls into question how he goes about business, because business people do not like hearing "I have a plan...I have a great plan..." they like hearing how you're going to go about making this great plan a reality. Suggestions are nice, solutions are better.
What is your definition of whining?
Exactly what he is doing when his rambles on about the election being rigged.

I was referring to the fact that just in the rather recent past stretching back to the mid-20th Century if anyone else had such endorsements it would have been over for them. But, then again, any other candidate in the past also would have been axed from any sort of possibility of political success talking about some troops and their families they way he has. Honestly, it still surprises me he survived that because insulting the troops and their families, or speaking ill of them in any way, especially the family of a soldier that died in combat, is a serious mega-huge taboo for many Republicans and Conservatives..

I personally am not offended. I don't like that Khan's wife couldn't potentially speak because she may not have been allowed to. It's easy to turn something that's not even racist or bigot and make it out to be just that. I do not admire man having that dictatorship over a women regardless of religion. I also don't like how Khan is being magnified and exploited for political gain. I can guess the man is making a lot of monetary gain from it too.

You think this holds true if they are elected to the position?

Wow so hacked emails in favor of Trump is still not good enough. What do you need a personal diary?

It's not her doing. If you want to see Trump's tax returns and play by same rules, then hack them.

What good does it do if they are already elected?

Federal employees naturally have to disclose finances before they engage in certain activities, and may either have to divest their conflict of interest or not participate in the activity if there is indeed a conflict. Why would the most powerful federal employee be exempt from this?

American voters deserve to know if a candidate has foreign ties, for example. Or if he has interests in certain industries that his policies might impact. Or how his promised tax policies might affect his own taxation.

Let's not jump to conclusions quite yet. This is a fallacy from the media and is exploiting minds. No one concedes a close election or admits defeat on Election Day. Trump could win the popular vote and lose from the electoral college. In my opinion, while redundant it is smart. He is aware they are out to get him. If he loses in the electoral college, he'd be right all along. The people would no longer trust in the process or system. By redundantly claiming rigging, it applies a lot of pressure on the electoral college. They then have a choice: override the people and claim to know what's best for the people or pass their pledges through faithfully.

We all seen Hillary with Gore. We also won't see Hillary concede and accept defeat until the electoral college is complete.

It is very deceptive and misleading to make someout out to appear dangerous and unstable because of this.

I don't encourage espionage for anything, I respect peoples privacy. Americans don't expect a whole lot of transparency and Americans certainly don't expect private emails to be part of the political process.

It's the will of the people, rather than mandate by institutional government. As I am one of the people willing Trump to be elected, then shouldn't my non-desire to see his tax returns be part of the decision whether or not he should have to reveal or not (in order to become elected)?

I don't think I'd characterize POTUS as a federal employee. I realize that's debatable, but it's certainly unlike most other federal employees. He/she has no superior to report to, and is there by elected desire of a segment of the population.

American voters deserve to know if a candidate has foreign ties, for example. Or if he has interests in certain industries that his policies might impact. Or how his promised tax policies might affect his own taxation.

Not sure if I agree on deserve to know. Agree on they may want to know. But if you are not voting for him, then is it that you want to know for support of him, or to attack him? I suspect the latter.

It really is no different than all the things Hillary has guarded and refused to release to the public. Opponents want it all released so we can scrutinize and show all the things that make for conflict of interest (and there have been a whole lot of those come up as result of Wikileaks). But I'm fairly certain supporters don't care, nor do they think (all) voters deserve that information. Yet, it arguably does matter to her role as POTUS going forward.

Donald Trump has asked why I did not speak at the Democratic convention.
...
Because without saying a thing, all the world, all America, felt my pain. I am a Gold Star mother. Whoever saw me felt me in their heart.
...
It has been 12 years, but you know hearts of pain can never heal as long as we live. Just talking about it is hard for me all the time. Every day, whenever I pray, I have to pray for him, and I cry. The place that emptied will always be empty.

I cannot walk into a room with pictures of Humayun. For all these years, I haven’t been able to clean the closet where his things are — I had to ask my daughter-in-law to do it. Walking onto the convention stage, with a huge picture of my son behind me, I could hardly control myself. What mother could? Donald Trump has children whom he loves. Does he really need to wonder why I did not speak?

Cool, then end of discussion. Trump has indicated I think a desire to keep his tax returns private. Glad to know you respect that.

Complaining is saying something is wrong, and acting. Whining is standing around incessantly going on about "woe is poor little me."

Since Trump has not uttered those words, we know he isn't whining. And since he has complained about things that are wrong and is acting as president elect to bring attention to those things, so they can be undone or addressed, we know he's been complaining.
