Economic Left/Right: -10.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.56

No surprises here. So what do I win?
You're the one person I can always count on to be farther left and more libertarian than I am. :D

Before you lump me in with neo cons, ultra right wing conservatives, and Bush lovers, take a second look at my graph.

Social libertarians don't fall neatly into either the Republican or Democratic party. Don't force me into your political idiotology - I mean ideology!

I gots my own independent mind and I'se been put out with things in US politiks for a long time lately.
It's interesting that you're far more libertarian than either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, but still far closer to both of them than to Sarah Palin or John McCain.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

US Presidential Election 2008

I didn't vote for McCain in the primaries - heck, I didn't vote republican in the primaries. I only voted for McCain in the end because I was so appalled by the idea of Obama for President.

I have to say, in retrospect I would have just sat out the vote that go round. I think that Palin is a freaking idiot and McCain is about as ineffective as they come.

At the time, my reasoning was that, well, at least they might not be as proactively destructive as Obama.

I still think that's the case. But if Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin are the best teams we can come up with, we deserve to become vassals to China.

I tend to agree, though I voted for Obama because I thought he wouldn't be as proactively destructive as McCain. Some choice.

If I had it to do over, I'm still not sure what I'd have done. I've got no problem voting for a third-party candidate, but the third parties fielded some appalling candidates in 2008, too. Maybe vote for Nader as a protest vote; I don't like to sit out an election.

Another Libertarian Left here.
My, you'd think we'd have more politicians who'd think the way we do, given our stance is apparently so common.

This is apparently my gotoquiz version.

doubt it. Canada isnt a bunch of scum sucking power hungry douchebags, eh?

You'd be surprised. Our main choices (the parties with any influence with the voters):

- Conservatives
Pros: They aren't the Liberals
Cons: They let their religion influence their politics too much, leading to the blocking of important advances of, for example, the gay community.

- Liberals
Pros: None.
Cons: There are no bigger hypocrites on this Earth. For example, just recently Ignatieff (Liberal leader) said that Harper (Conservative leader) showed his "true colours" when he called the Liberals "socialist" [which they are...] and the Bloc Quebecois "separatist" [which they are...]. He's trying to get dirt on the Cons for the inevitable upcoming election. He went on to say that Harper only cares about making everyone who disagrees with him "public enemy number one". Yet, in the October 2008 election, all the other main parties formed the ABC campaign (Anything But Conservative). Liberals frequently refer to Conservatives as "evil". The story which I am referencing is on the CBC.ca website. Just take a look at some of the comments left there.

- NDP
Pros: They have SOME good ideas on paper, but unfortunately no way of implementing them.
Cons: These people don't know how an economy works. If they ever get power, Canada will be financially run into the ground.

- Bloc Quebecois
Pros: None.
Cons: They know they'll never achieve power because they only field candidates in Quebec. Their sole interest is Quebec, not Canada. They do everything they can do disrupt the normal flow of politics and to try and squeeze any advantage for Quebec. I believe a better term for these guys would be "*edit*disturbers".
