Which art(s) do you practice and/or most enjoy?

How long have you been practicing them?

Who are some of your favorite artists in the same fields?

What do you like best about them?

What do you like least about them?

By arts, I mean just about anything from music to sculpture, and including writing novels or stories, painting, composing poetry, singing, drawing, and fibbing, among other things.

One of the arts I dabble in is acrylic portraiture. I've been at it for five years now, and I haven't gotten very good at it yet, but I seem to be making progress. My favorite part of it is seeing if I can bring out or at least suggest something of a person's character or emotions. My least favorite part of it is being such a novice -- I'm impatient to get better.

Here's one of my more recent portraits:

Ooh. Ooh. My favorite question!
Which art(s) do you practice and/or most enjoy?

I write poetry and draw. I played some music but didn't keep up the piano playing and would like to revisit it again.

How long have you been practicing them?

All my life since I was a tinny little thing. My father loves writing and mother loves music. So, I was introduced to it at a young age. I got my book published by my elementary school and did aluminum foil sculpting. My friend and I would make yarn bracelets and necklaces.

Who are some of your favorite artists in the same fields?

Ansel Adams, Mary Higgens Clark, Michael Ende, Michelangelo, Alexander Dumas, among others (writers and artists)

What do you like best about them?

Writing especially poetry I can express a lot of my feelings and thoughts about life that I can't put in words. I wrote some stories at a younger age and loved to read. I don't write as many stories now if any because it takes a lot of brain work that seems to be defaulting. I love blank and white arts because it shows the character of the author by nakedness. Michelangelo I can't think of a good word to describe his work and those in similar time period.

What do you like least about them?

I don't like anything least of them.

I do some dancing in my religious practices but not as an art. I would like to take that up. I practice a lot of American Sign Language since I'm going into that field of study within the Deaf Community. I may find a position within Deaf theatre or education where I can be more fluid in the language compared to interpreting which I am doing now.

Very good, the eye's look so real. I myself love portrait oil painting, writing songs and I had a book published. My favort artist is Salvador Dali, and Munch who painted the Scream. Below is one of my oils.

My mind body organism has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, when I saw this painting on google I had to make a copy, so I painted it, it really shows the feeling of psychosis.

Yeah.

Hey. I didn't know we can upload files! That makes it so much easier to get pictures. Don't worry. My father owns his own business so he's cool.
Wow, very good likeness, its looks like a caricature which I wish I could do, you can make good money doing them.

That reminds me when I went through clinical depression. Of course, not the same, but intense like being smashed on either side stuck in a room suffocating. I should draw that.

You think I could? For some reason I can copy-cat art but if I draw something from my own expression, it's more abstract with shading and more depth rather than accuracy and dimension. I've always wanted to write a book. My aunt let me have one of her published books and it has both her art and poetry in it. I think I'd follow her lead. Match the art with the poetry and pose.

Yes I think you could, there's lots of books that show you how, also on you-tube there is some real good stuff. Yes you have the spark in you, you only need now to be on fire, and I'm sure you will do anything you want.:)
