Which city in your country would you never visit?

Djamila

There are several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina that I would never visit for a variety of reasons.

I would literally fear for my life in Lukavica (Orthodox Christian), Pale (Orthodox Christian), and Siroki Brijeg (Roman Catholic).

I would be unwilling to visit and support, in any way, that city's local economy in Prijedor (Orthodox Christian, Muslim suburbs), Bijeljina (Orthodox Christian), and West Mostar (Roman Catholic).

I would feel uncomfortable, meaning I would expect to be physically intimidated for whatever reason, in Zenica (Muslim), Buzim (Muslim), Velika Kladusa (Muslim), and some parts of Bihac (Muslim).

And in your country?

In my country - The Serb Republic (CCCC) I would most definetly fear travelling to Kozarac (muslim), that one shanty town near Bijeljina (muslim)... and the muslim villiages of Stenjak, Ruzevic, and Gomjenica surounding the City of Teslic.

:D

Oy... ;) You forgot Zenica. Janja is not so bad, near Bijeljina. Kozarac you should be very afraid of, you know that's where my parents are from. I still went back at least once a year until my grandmother moved.

I'm sorry, but Zenica had fallen under Muslim occupation/opression... So no, I do not consider it apart of the Serb Republic, even though all of Bosnia was at one time apart of our Great Eastern Orthodox Motherland - Serbia. :D

I didn't bring you into this world, but I can remove you from it. :D Hahaha. Seriously, lets not tease each other too bad too. Our conversations will put keywords on Google on the nationalists will find us.

LOL.
Or, I can just post a link of this forum on Skyscrapercity and all of our old friends can stop by? :)

I beg you, don't. I really will have to leave here if all those Serbian nationalists show up. I'm done fighting with them about everything - I'm just going to leave them to rule the world in their little minds.

Gee, I was taught never to trust anyone over 30!

I guess I shouldn't trust myself now, eh? :D

Hm...a city I wouldn't visit.

OK...Atlantic City, New Jersey. Probably not Las Vegas either.

I've visited Hell and Paradise already. ;)

it hold zero appeal to me...it's just a city, like any other city in the world. And it's also the home to alot of the problems within Israel IMPO like prostitution, organized crime and drug dealing.

the only thing worth going to see or do there is to hit up the shuk in yaffo...you can find alot of stuff there are really good prices.

Peru, Indiana. Far too many clowns, and a bunch of horrible drivers(these people go 5 MPH over smooth, out-of-service rail road tracks), and speed limits that change every other block. Not too mention no one pays attention while they drive.
And thier is a very large amount of meth producers/dealers. If all the meth labs blew up simultaneously, thier wouldn't be a city left.

I don't think there's anywhere where I'd categorically state that I'd never visit. In any case I've already probably been to most of the less appealing places. I can say that of those that I haven't been to the place I'd be least likely to visit is probably Liverpool. I can't imagine ever having any need to go there and the accent just really grates on me.

American cities are losing their individuality. It does'nt matter where you go it could be "Anywhere U.S.A". You are sure to find McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc. I dont like any of the very large cities.

I think Mexico City probably would not be near the top of my list of cities to visit.

I have little desire to see Dallas, or Houston, or any of Texas except perhaps Austin. I find most everything "Texican" silly, self-centered, and ridiculously grandiose.

New Orleans. It was a nasty city before Katrina.

I go to Atlantic City everyother week at least. Our lenders take us there as incentive and we take clients there to. But I stay inside the hotel at night.

There are many dangerous places in New Orleans but alot of neat culture and music to, as long as you stay in the right areas.

I love to travel, so there are few U.S. cities I would not want to visit. There are two, however, that I have been to and would not want to go back to: Denver and Las Vegas. I just found Denver to be kind of unfriendly, and Las Vegas -- well, I don't have enough bad words in my vocabulary to apply to it.
