Ok wow so many different views
as there is religion before Christ .......im looking for the earliest written books with the usuall characters like Jesus etc...

From scholarly points of view, Mark is the first writtent account of the Jesus narrative. With regards to Mary, the hypothesis is that there existed a source that is referred to as "Q." It contains similarities that are found only in Matthew and Luke-Acts. Whether this source was oral or written is unknown.

As for religion, I guess that depends on how you want to define that word. Early followers were not "Christians;" it was a movement within Rabbinic Judaism. One might argue that the spread of the Gospel, the rapid increase in believers, and the establishment of norms to hold together the various groups is the beginning of Christianity it as a religion.

True, but I'm not even going to try and think about how another animal perceives the world, and what is thought about it, especially since the current state of inter-species communication is extremely limited.

The oldest religion, gee, that's hard, it would had to start from sitting around the fire and contemplating on what they didn't understand back then, and as time went on, organized religion started to take over, that's when we started to lose our innocence, of not knowing it all, but seeing all as a mystery.

According to me.. religion simply means re-union with from where we all started this journey of life in the beginning. Form this view-point the better question is which is the oldest doctrine for religion/reunion on this earth. Instead of disbelief on the first, new doctrine was always raised because of one's disability to understand and follow that old doctrine in new world.
