The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)
This is talking about the the time when Messiah rules and God's people have learned not to hate and engage in war anymore. This is a reality among his disciples even now. They will be found finally by him "spotless, unblemished and in peace". (2 Pet 3:14) They have already accomplished this before the Christ comes as judge.Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance (Isaiah 2:4)
There are a united people who live in all nations who already do.The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)
Jesus was.He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:810)
Jesus was not "a man of this world", in fact he told his disciples that they could not be a "part of this world". It has satan as it's god and ruler. (2 Cor 4:3, 4) Those who love this world cannot love God. (1 John 2:15-17)The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with "fear of God" (Isaiah 11:2)
When Messiah rules in his kingdom, all wickedness will be removed in a cleansing of the earth, as it was in Noah's day. This time, the cleansing will be as if by fire.(2 Thess 1:6-10; Matt 24:36-39)Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4)
That is because all opposers will be eliminated in the final "war of the great day of God the Almighty". (Psalm 37:9-11, 29; Rev 16:14)Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9)
He already is.He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10)
There is no literal "homeland" for God's people today. The Messiah was to be the savior of all, not just Jews and not just in one geographical location as Jesus told the Samaritan woman. (John 4:19-21) The Abrahamic covenant was to benefit people of all nations. All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)
Yes, thanks to Messiah's sacrifice. Animal sacrifices are no longer necessary because his blood has paid for sin "once for all time".Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8)
Yes, a foregleam of the blessings of the kingdom were seen in the miracles performed by Jesus and his apostles. They healed the sick and even raised the dead...something that will take place on a grand scale in the "new earth". (2 Pet 3:13)There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)
Yes, as we saw demonstrated in Jesus day. The dead "sleep" awaiting a resurrection. (John 11:11, John 5:28, 29)All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)
Not only the Jewish people, but people of all nations who accept Messiah's rulership over them. Zion is the seat of God's authority. It is in heaven but will extend over all the earth. The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11)
He was and that peace is reflected in his followers. They have ceased to 'learn war anymore' even now.He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7)
Israel has herself wronged Jehovah many times.Nations will recognize the wrongs they did Israel (Isaiah 52:1353:5)
Yes, people from all nations were to stream to Jehovah's worship as it says in Isa 2:2. It is happening now.For My House (the Temple in Jerusalem) shall be called a house of prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:37)
The Jews themselves need spiritual guidance. Israel today is part of the world and as bloodguilty as the rest. Where is her peace? Where is God's blessing on her? Has she learned not to make war?The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23)
Figuratively speaking. The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55)
Yes, there will never be war again. How wonderful!Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)
The temple already exists in heaven, the place from which Messiah was to rule with his priests. The literal temple was a typical representation of the heavenly arrangement, though I know that Jews cannot accept this. The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvoth
Yes, this is what he promised. God's people already know how to serve God together as one united global brotherhood, at peace and engaging in the work assigned by their master.....preaching the good news before the foretold "end".He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)
Yes, this is the new covenant instituted by Jesus Christ on the Passover night before his death.Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33)
And there will be no one to take those proper desires and deny them to anyone. He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4)
With God's blessing restored to the earth, cleansed of wickedness and all who practice it, things can go back to the way God purposed it to be in the beginning. He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:1315, Ezekiel 36:2930, Isaiah 11:69)
I hilighted the ones that are very clearly not fulfilled.
A lot of others seemed very amiguous to begin with.
Reading that verse in context makes it plain that it was Jehovah who was going to punish and cleanse his people and re-establish his laws over them as he did at the beginning. When he formed his people into a nation, he made sure that they had guides, teachers and spiritual counselors, but when those counselors went off track, they took the people along with them. God corrected Israel on many occasions; at times they made him so angry that he wanted to ""put an end to them". (Ex 32:9, 10)

Israel has herself wronged Jehovah many times.
Her history is an example of what to do and what not to do. Her history is there for all to see and to learn from. Experience is the best teacher...even someone else's experience.
Yes, people from all nations were to stream to Jehovah's worship as it says in Isa 2:2. It is happening now.
The Jews themselves need spiritual guidance. Israel today is part of the world and as bloodguilty as the rest. Where is her peace? Where is God's blessing on her? Has she learned not to make war?
When she rejected her Messiah, God in turn, having lived up to his end of the bargain, rejected the nation of Israel from being his people. He chose a new spiritual nation to have his name called upon. (Acts 15:14) That was not Paul saying that, but Peter.
If Messiah has come and gone, why would God's people be expecting another? Why do they expect more than what Jesus provided as proof of his 'Messiahship'? How long will Jews anticipate an event that already took place two thousand years ago? They have been left at the station....the train pulled away a long time ago. There will not be another train. All anyone needs to do is get themselves to where the train is now.
The journey has not yet ended, but it will soon.
Figuratively speaking.
Yes, there will never be war again. How wonderful!

Yes, this is the new covenant instituted by Jesus Christ on the Passover night before his death.
It is written on hearts.
And there will be no one to take those proper desires and deny them to anyone.
With God's blessing restored to the earth, cleansed of wickedness and all who practice it, things can go back to the way God purposed it to be in the beginning.
Unending life in paradise on earth will be restored to all obedient mankind. (Rev 21:3, 4)
There is clearly still death hunger and disease.
The practice of other religions is of no consequence to the God of the Bible. And people all over the world unite for many religions today, not only for christianity. Of course, this did not happen on Jesus time either.
The earth is the homeland of Christ's followers. They have no geographical location as if one part of the earth is more sacred to its Creator than another. And you admitted that israelites were not all returned to their homeland.
And it is no surprise that the Jews, as part of the world, have no peace. The world was to spiral down into worse conditions as the last days progressed. Morally, spiritually and physically, humans continue to regress. Tell me what nation has peace?Weapons of war still exist and as you clearly say, jews are not in peace.
This is because Christ was to become king at a time and place unseen to human eyes, long before he was to introduce kingdom blessing to the earth.
Daniel saw Christ's enthronement in vision and recorded it for us. (Dan 7:13, 14)
When his disciples asked for the "sign of his "presence" (parousia) Jesus wasn't talking about his "coming", which is incorrectly translated in many Bibles.
Young's Literal Translation correctly renders this verse..."And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, `Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?'" (Matt 24:3)
This was not just speaking about the fall of Jerusalem in 70 C.E. but was pointing forward to "the full end of the age" when Christ was to return and bring all things to a conclusion, dispatch all enemies and re-establish divine rulership over the earth.
It was prophesied in Psalms that Christ was to begin "ruling in the midst of his enemies". (Psalm 110:1, 2)
"The affirmation of Jehovah to my Lord: `Sit at My right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.' 2 The rod of thy strength doth Jehovah send from Zion, Rule in the midst of thine enemies." (YLT)
The disciples asked for a "sign" that he was "present", which would be unnecessary if it was a publicly recognizable event. His coming in Kingdom power to eliminate his enemies is the finale, not the beginning.
There was to be a series of observable events that would indicate that Christ had begun ruling in his kingdom and the last days for the present system had started. If one did not discern the features of the sign and understand their significance, they would be unprepared for the "coming" of the judge of all the earth.
All the features of the sign were like a fingerprint in history. Only one time period has seen all of them as they were written.
Read Matt 24:3-14 and you will see that this time period begins with war...not just any war, but a war like no other in history. Jesus said: "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom" and that this was just the beginning of distress. There is only one time period that includes all the features together. The very first world war in history took place in 1914 and all the events listed in Matt 24 followed. Disease, famine, earthquakes, hatred, betrayal, false prophets, and an increasing of lawlessness causing the love of the majority of people to grow cold. Endurance would be needed to cope with these critical times. (2 Tim 3:1-5)
The practice of other religions is of no consequence to the God of the Bible.
It was a unity to be found among those who professed to be followers of Jesus Christ...the "anointed one". God promised to "draw" those who responded to the Christian message and guide them to the truth. (John 6:44) Unfortunately the devil was busy cooking up a counterfeit Christianity to lead people off the track. When Constantine established Roman Catholicism as the state religion of the Roman Empire, Christendom was born. It was an odd mix of Christianity and paganism. The foretold apostasy was in full swing.
The same happened to Judaism. When Jesus came to be baptized, the Jewish faith was almost unrecognizable from the one prescribed by his Father to his people centuries before.
This apostasy was foretold for Christianity in the parable of the wheat and the weeds.
Both true and false Christians existing side by side until the :harvest time".(Matt 13:24-30)
What people accept as Christianity today is nothing like the original. It is full of man made doctrines and traditions that have their roots in paganism. At the "time of the end" Daniel foretold that a "cleansing and refining" would take place among God's worshippers. There would also be an abundance of knowledge....knowledge of the truth. (Dan 12:4, 9, 10)
When Jesus comes again, he will deal with this situation by rejecting the fake Christians completely. (Matt 7:21-23)
Isaiah prophesied that people from all nations (including all faiths) would come to Jehovah's worship and that is exactly what is happening. They leave their false worship behind and adopt true worship.
The earth is the homeland of Christ's followers. They have no geographical location as if one part of the earth is more sacred to its Creator than another.
Concerning the Samaritan woman to whom Jesus was speaking John writes: "The woman said to him: Sir, I perceive you are a prophet. 20 Our forefathers worshiped in this mountain; but you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where persons ought to worship. 21 Jesus said to her: Believe me, woman, The hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you people worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation originates with the Jews." (John 4:19-22)
He said salvation originated with the Jews, but it did not end with them. It was always intended to bless people of all nations.
And it is no surprise that the Jews, as part of the world, have no peace. The world was to spiral down into worse conditions as the last days progressed. Morally, spiritually and physically, humans continue to regress. Tell me what nation has peace?
How many people are truly happy anymore? Who is not stressed? There is not a single nation on earth that is immune from this degradation.
Democracy is touted as the superior form of rulership, yet it is plagued by as many problems as any other. The richest nation on earth is now facing bankruptcy. And most of the world is following it into colossal debt.
The world is ruled by the devil. Jesus said so, (John 14:30) but he said that the devil had no power over him. The devil has no power over Christ's true disciples either. They are fulfilling their commission to preach in all the earth before the "end" comes.
When all the "sheep" are in the pen, then everything will be brought to its stated conclusion.
The greatest tribulation in the history of the world was to be the closing feature of the sign that Jesus gave. I believe it is looming as we speak.
We all have choices to make about our eternal future. May we all make the right ones.
I mean in summary, the mesiah was to bring peace, but Jesus said I do not come to bring peace but a sword.
So... Sounds like he is clearly not the messiah. The jews are not in peace and as you clearly point out no one is, so either e prophecy about the messiah is wrong or Jesus is not the messiah.
Or it could easily mean that peace comes after his arrival after a great age of tribulations.
You mean in any moment after his arrival?
Where that to be so, therophecies would be so ambiguos as to be completely useless.
So you do indeed accept there is no peace yet for the jews, that is an unfulfilled prophecy right there.
You have to understand what that 'homeland' is. Since the Bible isn't talking about fleshly Jews, it is not talking about their literal 'homeland' either. You also accept the israelites have not returned to their homeland, so that is another prophecy fail.
Sorry? If the thread is about what prophesies Jesus fulfilled, why is it inappropriate to quote him? His own words are prophetic.I dont get why you keep bringing up what Jesus said when here this thread is about whether he fulfilled or did not.
Yes they are, you are just looking at a few very small pixels in a much larger image. Step back. Those prophecies are clearly not fulfilled.
