Soto Zen
Hindu, general. No sect.
Hinduism.So, which religion do you follow?
Advaita Vedanta school of philosophy.I'd love to know if there is a particular denomination or church or sect or other specific version of the religion you belong to as well.
Not in this life. I was born into a Catholic household and raised in that religion.Were you raised in that faith?
If you want to call it that. It was more a falling away from Catholicism as a result of tenets and dogma that didn't align with my worldview.Did you convert at some point?
Do you mean there is a greater distance between each member of the Baha'i Faith than there is in any other religion?My religion wasn’t even mentioned even though it’s the second most widespread religion in the world. Perhaps another time.
On that we agree. There's some Christians around... if you hear them preaching they're more "Paulinian" than ChristianWith Paul's Christianity the original Gospel message changed considerably.

Other: Taoism. I'm not part of any organized sect but I do practice it as a religion, not (just) a philosophy. By which I mean I have rituals, icons, augers and other practices.
Anglicanism.
Why gain adherents when you can just tell people of other religions that their religion is the same as the Baha'i Faith?When you gain more adherents, perhaps. For now your religion is a small percentage of the global population.
That is a very fair and thoughtful stance.Druidry appealed to me because it is an acceptable way for a colonialist child to connect with the land and avoid stepping on the surviving indigenous traditions here.
A couple of thoughts:
- (Buddhism + Hinduism) > (Christianity + Judaism), which provides a good balance;
- I'm surprised by the large (Paganism/Neopaganism) count;
- I'm pleased by the small (Other Religion) count;
- I wish we had more participation.
I'm hoping its cake...And what’s the prize?
I can think of @Link and @muhammad_isa off the top of my head as Muslim members... And isn't new member @funnylife33 Muslim?The complete lack of regular Muslim members is also notable. Though we get what feels like a disproportionate number of threads dedicated to how awful their religion is, so perhaps it isn't surprising.
If there is, I'm unaware of it. I've always been curious if there's one out there that does, and I haven't run across it yet.Would you say that there is a particular darśana or philosophy that you align with to some extent?
Do you have a principal deity or are all worshiped equally?I'm more focused on Bhakti than anything else, but I worship several deities rather than just concentrating on one.
I have a few I feel I'm closer with than others, but I acknowledge them all as glorious.Do you have a principal deity or are all worshiped equally?

I figure I will be lead to where I'm meant to go.You might not find such a philosophy, but you may meet a guru who you align with with respect to how you practice.
The last time I entertained such thoughts I ended up in Nebraska.I figure I will be lead to where I'm meant to go.
How was Nebraska?The last time I entertained such thoughts I ended up in Nebraska.
To be honest, I rather enjoyed my brief stay in Omaha. It's the five hour drive from Omaha to Julesburg that I found a bit off putting.How was Nebraska?
