Which religion is the one true religion?

Christ said "I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father, but by me." But unless you believe the Bible that statement is worthless to you, however if you can establish the Bible as a reliable document by archeological and philosophical evidence (as I believe it has been) then it follows you can accept the rest of the book.

Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life" ask yourself who is this "I" he was talking about. The "I am" is the way the truth and the life". This is nothing to do with
the bible, it is a fundamental truth of the universe, and belongs to no religion.

If a religious believer answers that theirs is not the true religion.......

What kind of faith is that?

Ask of those who have attained God; all speak the same word. All the enlightened have left one message, ...it is only those in the midst of the journey who hold diverse opinions. - Dadu Dayal(Sanatan Dharma)

All the religions are true, or else none of them are...
As I understand it There is one God but an infinite amount of ways to look at God..

My Teacher would always quote the Rig-veda;

"Truth is one, sages call it by many names" - Rig-Veda

None of the religions are true. Religion is a man-made concept. Religion exists for the sole purpose of controlling society. Thankfully, man's ability to reason has greatly improved since biblical times.

I don't think that's true, however it is plainly obvious to see that many religions have been corrupted for political gain...
but i doubt people like jesus & Lao Tzu were like "were gonna screw everyone ha ha."

Religions, in my opinion are methods for attaining self-realization...
Buddha said there are 84,000 paths to enlightenment, some take longer than others.

Can you tell me which religion is the one true religion and why you believe what you do?

Agnostically deistic Satanism mixed with perhaps a tiny bit of influences from LaVeyanism, Setianism, and secularism, as it has the best of all worlds and still manages to be useful.

However, that isn't my mix... I'm a pantheist and hard polytheist... and to agnostic for my own good  I am a Satanist though.

Why not duality, where-as everything cancels out to neutrality, making you capable of more than just one emotion, love, but capable of all emotions?

Pleasant emotions make more sense to me.

Anger generates anger, love generates love.

For society, love is far superior.

There is nothing that anger can do that love cannot do better.

Ditto what he said...
what the hells the point of a religion if not to find peace& happiness...
it doesn't make sense to follow rules if they dont help you live your life...

Id say the best 'major' religions are Hinduism and Taoism. But truly its like he said love is the one true religion, all these denominations are just different sects worshiping the same Force.

What is love without hate? peace without anger?

But God is not limited to love, even in most religions. So why should we be only love? Not everything is out to be your friend and give you a hug!

love is nothing without hate, but hate is not something we want, love is, that's the duality of it. Wanting hate is like shooting yourself in the foot...

we focus of neither love or hate, only on the emptiness of God. and love pours from us, so it goes to reason that Happiness& love (+) is the original state and Hate& sorrow (-) is the balancing force. what came as a result from a good feeling was a contrast of recognizing a bad feeling.... this is duality wisdom & ignorance, and all hate stems from ignorance just as love springs from wisdom.
we want to stay happy, not fall into misery and hate becomes its own special type of misery. And a religion that promotes misery(even through indulgence) is really counter productive to any spiritual journey.

Love is the one true religion.

The definition of love is defined at 1st Corinthians 13 vs 4-6

Jesus said his true followers would be recognized by the love they displayed.

-John 13 vs 34,35

Jesus gave a new commandment that you love one another; just as Jesus loved us, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.

no offence but i dont think this dude is gonna be too crazy about jesus.

Whatever your faith meditate & pray enough and you will find the root of all mystical experience and see God for yourself and all your worries will vanish...
just keep an open mind and focus on the love part and you really cant go wrong....

There is dualistic love with its complementary opposite...'hate', and there is transcendent love, i.e. unconditional love, Divine love is transcendent, and is synonymous with truth.

A Zen - Taoist view..

The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no preferences.
When love and hate are both absent everything becomes clear and undisguised.
Make the smallest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart.
If you wish to see the truth, then hold no opinions for or against anything.
To set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind.
