Who ****ing cares?

Based upon the responses on this thread thus far it's nothing more than ideological driven drivel.

And you provided nothing worthwhile to explore. The only responses thus far are idiotic stereotypical exclamations based upon ideology and idiotic exclamations about rhetoric. In other words, arguments that ignore actually understanding the voting public.

****ing boring *** thread.

Did Clinton defeat herself?..........or in other words let's actually ignore what the voting public wanted.
Whoa you really get worked up over boring things. Remind me not to tell you about my algal research in college.

Which would be more accurate and truthful: To say that Clinton lost the presidential election, or to say that Trump won it?
Both are accurate and truthful. It would be untruthful to have a different answer.

Put differently, was the presidency Clinton's to lose, and she actually defeated herself by one means or another?
Elections are always about the popular candidate shooting themselves in the foot and losing support. Sometimes this happens and sometimes it doesn't. If the popular candidate shot themselves in the foot more often than not, they wouldn't be the popular candidate over the years.
Clinton had no control over whether she was shooting herself in the foot or not. Other people were doing it for her. Didn't matter if the information was accurate or not.
Clinton lost the election because voters in America believed Clinton was shooting herself in the foot with a shotgun, for decades. The disinformation campaign was enacted so well, we can see the result today.
Remember, if there weren't people susceptible to propaganda, none of this would ever happen. Which is why propaganda is still used today. They target a demographic that is vulnerable.
I think there are several reasons the election turned out as it did, but that -- for the most part -- it would be more accurate to say Clinton lost the election than to say Trump won it.
Clinton had no control over her fate.

Here's an example of Clinton shooting herself in the foot. Is it accurate that half the republican base are deplorables? Maybe, maybe not. But those people weren't voting for Clinton period. They've already gone through the first phase of propaganda over the decades and were now 'caught.' The finger mostly get's pointed at the people 'on the fence' which were 'caught' and voted against Clinton.
So this example of deplorables isn't really shooting yourself in the foot, because the people affected weren't voting for her anyways....EVER. If she had said that Bernie supporters were deplorables, that would be a different example. There's different levels.
