My question is: Who in RF is claiming that humans are gods?

We are gods in the same way animals are animals.

To answer your question...

My Daddy said:

Short question, but looong answer required. I'll try to simplify:

1) Human beings since the Traumata or Fall or whatever name you want to designate the event with, have been self-limiting creatures. @ the highest expression of our humanity, nothing is debarred from us, no power on Earth or in Heaven. Also, our bodies have changed.

2) Practically speaking, the Fall robbed us of our higher functions, which are accessed throught the 6th Psychic and 7th Pneumatic senses. Each sense, which is really made up of a group of subtler senses, is simulateneously a funtional level of Consciousness. Thus on the 6th and 7th levels of Consciousness, human beings are fully functional thetans, or gods.

3) The Paranormal abilities of the higher senses are numerous; Telepathy, Telekinesis and Telempathy comprise the 6th psychic root, whilst the pneumatic powers of the 7th root are even more potent (Astral travel, Bi and Translocation etc).

4) We currently cannot access these higher functions due to three factors;

Psychological Self-imposed limitations (ie. misunderstanding of the root fear that inhibits us), DNA alteration (the Double-helix we currently use reinforces the 5-sense limited state of being we endure, whilst the 12-strand triple-helix must be actived to ensure the body performs in harmony with the mind, and the powers of the higher functions "unlocked"), and Environment (certain poisons and toxins our bodies have adapted to are inimical to the divine mind-body state).

5) Behind the scenes, for a long time now, the hidden sciences have known how to use DNA activation codes for latent psychics. The government, for example, uses Remote Viewers.

In years to come, there will be a public revelation. But by then, we will already be on our way to regaining what we lost: our divinity.

A_E,

I've walked on water myself several times. It was winter and the lake was frozen.

Also, I can "materialize" beer from nothing more than water, malted barley, hops, and yeast.

;)

I've always taken the Satanist idea of being your own god as meaning that it's more worthwhile to worship yourself (or something within you) than it is to worship something external and, according to Satanist theology/philosophy, ineffective and/or undeserving of worship.

Those are my thoughts for the most part to. I believe we have what it takes to became Gods or even just God like.

If you read the Satanic Bible this is what it is saying.

Can't brain. Has dumb.
If we are all gods, I want someone who has fully realized the divinity within to do the following things:

1) End world hunger
2) Establish world peace
3) Impeach Goerge Bush

Numbers 1 & 2 involve a global consciousness shift. We already can do those, we don't necessarily need a God to do so. Too many people honsetly believe there to be good reason for 1&2 not to happen, that hunger and war should continue. Impeaching George Bush would involve going against the will of several people, and for God to influence them would be to go against that gift of free will would it not?

If you can't do that:
1) Raise yourself from the dead after three days
2) Walk on water
3) Raise someone else from the dead

What good would that do? Raising myself from the dead - problem is, I'll never die. Neither will you. Neither will anyone. What use is it to you for me to walk on water? The realisation of being god should be your own experience of being god - not being shown that someone else has realised that. And of putting life back into a previously used body? No use. The soul no longer has a need for that body and chances are has incarnated into another.

And if you please:
1) Supply me with free beer and pizza for the rest of my life
2) Materialize a Martin D-35 on my front porch
3) I'd like some cash
Right. how big is your porch? :p

But seriously, you can do this for yourself. All you need to do is remember it. Even if I was to show that I had realised my being a part of god, it would be no use to you if you were not past a certain point in your path, and from what I've read from you, I don't think you're quite there yet - it could be a few lives away yet. That is not me claiming to be better or superior to you though. Each soul is on their own path and should be left to walk it. To try to jump a soul further along the path than they are ready for is pointless and a waste of energy. Only when there is a true yearning for the next stage should they be helped.

Heck, if you can pull off anything on the list (supernatually, of course), I would like to find my divinity within. If you'd like to give me pizza, beer, or the D-35, I'd be impressed but not convinced, unless you could do it out of thin air.

How? Read my sig :D

If I do not go within, I go without.

Turn towards the light inside and listen to that.
I cannot prove to you, but you can

This Christian was fumbling around where he shouldn't have been and found the following quote from a Satanist (reficul ) --

We are all gods, but to prove so action must be taken to break down the barriers that hinder us from proving thus.

If you cannot perform acts of divinity, there's no use in claiming it.

If you can perform acts of divinity, I want to take lessons. I am sick of working for a living, and Bruce Almighty was a cool flick. Otherwise, we must conclude that your claim that we are gods is a fantasy.

My question is:

Who in RF is claiming that humans are gods. If we are gods, how do we realize our divinity, and how can you prove that you are divine?

Jesus said "He who believes in my name shall do the works that I do, and yea, even

greater works shall he do, because I go to the Father". I guess it comes down to what is meant by believing in his name, and what is the name he is talking about. I am
sure you will agree that there are literally hundreds of millions of people that believe
in Christ, and yet, do not do the works that he did, so its obviously more than just
believing Jesus was the Son of God. I leave you to ponder on this.

I do not claim that humans are gods but I do state most emphatically that God is
appearing as humans. God is all, in all.

peace

What if we are gods in embryo?

You misunderstand the real meaning that Satanists convey when one declares his or herself their own God.

As a God, you declare yourself the most important thing in existence (to yourself.. you are your own god, not anyone else's.) As a God, you hold yourself to a higher standard of excellence than other people might expect from you. As a God, you do not value anything against yourself.

Edit: I am speaking from the perspective of someone who subscribes to LaVey's Satanism, which is the only form of Satanism I see as valid.

Good thread, better yet if someone claims to be a God they should be able to at least get there own life in order and without strife. And they should be able to at least quite there jobs since someone who is a God doesn't have to work anymore on improving themselves.

I guess one thing that you have to consider in this thread is how do you define a God, personally my God is always the same with no beginning and no end and no one that come anywhere close to being what he is. But as far as "thetans" or something like that, being able able to travel in some sort of cosmic spirit body and having psychic power and what not is all fine and good but it's not being God how I define God, if a God is limited and there are greater and lesser Gods where do we draw the line between what's a god and what isn't?

to all ,,just reviewing the posts of who is claiming humans are gods .Now of course I have a lot to say here ,but the first thing to address is lets define our terms ,,what do we mean by god??,what qualities must he have. If your definition is he must be smarter that a 5th grader ,then I am a god. If you mean god must be omniscient, omnipotent, eternal etc ,,then I fail the test . so many of these discussions start rambling because no one has the dicipline to define what they are talking about,,what are we talking about what is the consensus of what god is?....harley davidson......

That's the whole problem. Words can mean any number of things depending on context. When you're talking about religion and myth and human feelings, you need to be extremely precise.

We have a collection of eyewitness accounts from which we can scientifically deduce which writings are closest to the original by means of redaction and text criticism, somthing that is not available in film. In short, the text is more reliable than film ever could be.

I thought we went over this falacy years ago AE.
The writings are only as good as the truth of their content and there is no way to verify that without any religious bias.

Perhaps, but so far no one has qualified how a Satanist views god.

Think Gnostic Christian and you`ll be a bit closer.

No, not really. If I understand right Gnostic Christian view God as the bad one right. If where talking about Satanist like most now them to be, think the Satanic Bible, Lavey one. Then they most likely view God as non-existent because it's a Atheist set belief.

for what it's worth, my interpritation of LaVey's claim that we are all our own God was not actually any sort of statement about God or Divinity at all. it was a statement about humanity. you can compare that to the Christian notion of God if you like, but there isn't much ground to make comparisons on...

LaVey, just like Crowley (one of the men he admired) used shock tactics to get his message heard. LaVey was keen for people to get over their need of a God with whom we give all responsibility to. by saying i am my own God, i am taking responsibility back into my own posession.

I think it's interesting that 12-step programs include an acknowledgment that there is something greater than one's self. With the acknowledge comes the ability to control one's own life. 12-step programs have been proven to be very effective, yet they also seem to contradict the LaVey's theory.

I don't like 12 Step programs, they make you feel like your weak and pathetic and that and the only way to really take control of your life is to give in to God and then you can take "responsibility" for what you do. Which I think is bull.
