Wizanda: You must be a Gnostic, do you guys have an official canon?
In the sense of knowing God since birth slightly Gnostic....yet no books, free web-site though....

Names "Zanda"...not doing maths...

And the Light of Christ Is What??????????:help:
It’s in the Pharisee gospel of John Nicodemus, saying Yeshua is the "light of the world" that gets breathed out of a dragon?

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

However, you'll have a lot of company in Hell since a great majority of people that ever lived never even heard of Jesus Christ.

in the 22 points where did you find those who never heard of Jesus?

Acts 4

1And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, 2Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

You guys experience suffering? Are you attached to someone or something? Then you have already tasted a piece of hell.
We die for purification of our missjudgement, and then we are reborn.

4. Anyone who does not continue in the teachings of Christ. ( 2 John 1:9 )

One couldn't possibly continue in the teachings of Christ if they had never heard of him. Therefore, those who have never heard of Jesus Christ are going to Hell.

Reading this thread, I get a picture of God sitting behind a cage, propped up by a pole attached to a string. Inside the cage is temptation. And God's just waiting, hardly able to contain his glee that human beings will soon come inside the cage to be tempted. God will quickly and joyfully rip out the pole, trapping them. Then he'll dance for joy and wave bye-bye as they are trucked off to hell by the Ferryman.

Meanwhile, Jesus is standing nearby with a visor and garters, a Hoyo de Monterrey #1 (in the maduro wrapper) hanging out of his mouth, taking bets on how many will fall victim. Winner gets an all-expenses-paid trip on the second voyage of the Titanic.

"How many people can we trap on a technicality?" God wonders.

Isn't it obvious that Jesus was unconcerned with technicalities, folks?

I'm not going to like hell with all of the cavemen there.
Don't mind, if that is what God requires of us, that is our duty…..
Then can show them how too make light with two sticks and not make idols from it...

To say that God requires us to suffer interminably is as vile as saying that God desires sacrifice.

There's gonna be cavemen?! :D *starts packing*

just wait until the aliens arrive and start dying. They won't have heard of Jesus Christ, so you'll meet them in Hell, too.

I think it will end up being one big melting pot:D

Ironically, since "Jesus descended into hell to release the prisoners there," wouldn't the souls in hell have heard of him? Wouldn't that constitue double jeopardy? And, if they heard of Jesus in hell, releasing the prisoners, wouldn't at least some of them believe and be saved, after all? And if Jesus got there and smelled chicken cooking, wouldn't he want to stay for dinner?

What does this verse have to do with the multitudes that were born before Jesus?

Or those that existed during His time, but were unfortunate enough not to have the live reports of Jesus' ministry on CNN that everyone else did? :sarcastic

Not to take this off track, but the logic is pretty simple here:

1. The Gospel has actually been preached in the world to all. People have been saying so since the Missionary Fervor of the 19th century. Perhaps they're right.
a. Look for Jesus coming.
b. Too bad if you were born before then and weren't lucky enough to get preached to.

2. The Gospel has not been preached to all the world.
a. Too bad if you were born before then and weren't lucky enough to get preached to.
b. Too bad if you were born during this time in someplace where you weren't preached to.

Either way, the conclusion is the same:

Those who are unlucky enough not to have gotten the chance to hear the Gospel -- tough toenails for you! You get to fry eternally in hellfire! neener neener! Burn, baby, burn!

Can you seriously wonder why there are so many people, many Christians even, who look askance at such an interpretation?

It makes a mockery of the idea of God's love and mercy, that's for certain.
