I found an article about an old study (1994) released by the National Foundation for Women Business Owners, that says the following:Are there any studies on this?
Men are logical, women are emotional.
That reminds of a statement made by Captain Kirk to Spock-- "On Vulcan, women are logical, they are the only planet to be able to make that claim" (the quote isn't exactly correct, but it is the gist of what was said).Darn!! I was looking for the entry on the poll that said "Vulcan's are the most logical"
From what my sociology professor told me last year, studies have shown that men are just as emotional, if not more emotional than women. They just express it in different ways. For males it is through aggression.Men are logical, women are emotional.
No, women have a larger Corpus Callosum, which is the bundle of nerves that connects the two cerebral hemisphere's of the brain (right brain, left brain).Aren't the Limbic Systems of women larger than in males?
Men are better at recognizing spatial cues and women are better at verbal communication.
Men cry, the reason it is "unacceptable" is because men are supposed to be "manly" and assertive even untill death. but the truth be told every sunday at church, i see grown men bear thier testimonies and with such strength that they cry and sound like babbling brooks. we don't laugh at them or make fun of them, we know that they are truely feeling what they know is right. As for emotion, social norms allow women to display emotions of vulnerability more easily; it's more readily accepted. Just look at how men are ridiculed if they cry. So women can cry, and show affection (ie - emotional dependency on another person). On the other hand, it's more socially accepted for men to show anger and assertiveness - he's just being a man - whereas when women show anger or assertiveness, they're labeled as "*****es."
