The confusion is on your part alone.

That must be why the Shia-Sunni split happened almost before Muhammad died, then.

And why it only got worse since.

Islam is the only religion acceptable to GOD, the fundamental core beliefs are found in other religions, with those adhering to them amongst the successful in the hereafter.

So the doctrine goes.

You can't in good faith expect me to find that convincing, though.

I stand surprised that there are people who apparently do find it convincing. I long for the day when accurate measures of the effect of peer pressure and other factors that might help explain that can be made.

Despite this, we ALL come from the last Adam and Eve pbut, as such we are to be tolerant, respectful and good to one another regardless of religion, race or creed. Those hoping to gain GOD's mercy in the hereafter are reminded in this life to forgive others, show mercy and compassion, even in the most testing of circumstances:

Of course, that amounts to needlessly complicating and even confusing matters of basic ethics by inserting unnecessary, often troublesome god-concepts and afterlife beliefs into fairly self-evident directives.

(...)

Never mind, you can reflect on your decisions in life whilst you are laying in your grave. Muslims are only required to deliver the message and answer questions to the best of their abilities.

I wish they did not go through the trouble. It is more than a bit sad, really.

Sad too that Atheists feel the urge to waste their time posting on Forums about Religion and Beliefs. You would think as enlightened free thinkers, they'd have better things to do. :/

Does that truly make you sad? How or why so?

Sincerely, I don't see any logical reason why.

Forgive me for thinking that you are trying to be sarcastic, then.

In any case, religion is a significant human activity. Far too significant to be neglected to the care of radical monotheism.

I could not care less for monotheism, but I care a lot about monotheists. And perhaps even more about people who have to deal with monotheists, directly or indirectly.

This man seems to be far more credible than the likes of Zakir Naik.
Shia Imam from Iraq or Iran. Does he not realise, no Jew or Christian has paid Jizya in those lands for almost 500 years. The Prophet pbuh, living the Qur'an never forced anyone to revert to Islam outside of Mecca. One of the comments summed it up well enough:

This guy is a shia (you know the minority), isn't he ?! Spread by the sword, I don't think so. At the time of the Messenger of God (peace be upon our beloved Prophet), nobody was forced to convert, it's against Islam anyway. And I guess you know that the moment when Islam spread like wildfire was after the 9/11, no sword was used actually except against the muslims. I'm a new muslim, I'm still learning (in a university, with professors) but I can't seem to find how this video or any of yours represent Islam, I'm sorry, I think it's just a myriad of falsehood and irrational baseless claims carefully chosen (no offence). I find it a bit strange the amount of artifices some people will use to demonize Islam, and it just never works lol except against the inherently corrupt ! Whoever has a good heart, Allah will guide him/her, and whoever Allah wants to guide, nobody can mislead him/her. Alhamdulillah that I found Islam (along with my brother and my cousin), the true and only Right Path ! Ask forgiveness and turn to your Creator BEFORE you return to Him, He is watching you and your deeds are recorded, build for yourself a house in Paradise and not in the blazing flame ! Salams :)

Masha'Allah, may Islam continue to spread and conquer the hearts and minds of people.

I hope your professors are as honest as the woman is in this educational video.

I love how you refer to hate preachers as educational. She claims to have Muslim for a while, got really into it, then decided it wasn't for her and the abuse started, the stalking, people outside her apartment etc etc yawn yawn, she provides ZERO evidence, not a single video, no police reports, no pictures. Is your star a Egyptian Christian by any chance?

I have learned to be wary of assumptions that the word "hatred", when used in Muslim contexts, holds a similar meaning to that of a random usage.

It is actually scary how often it does not.

Islaamic doctrine and culture, from all appearances, teach expectations - including ethical ones - that can only be described as alien to most non-Muslims. One of the results is a rather curious mix of callousness and feelings of victimisation.

For all the talk about how Muslims are misunderstood, it is remarkable how badly Muslims understand non-Muslims.

Never mind what she says.

I have been told time and again by Muslims in these very forums that I ought to think better of Islaam because there are non-Muslims who actually survive in Muslim countries. As in, they were not slaughtered yet.

Actual proponents of Islaam usually fail to even realize that refusal to entirely stoop to Mafia-level stances of threatening, passive aggression and intimidation is hardly something to be proud of.

That alone tells me quite a lot about the Islaamic understanding of ethics, merits and virtues, as well their expectations of behavior from both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Incidentally, it also offers fierce hints about the likelihood of truth in the message of the Qur'an and the claim of existence of Ibrahim's conception of God.

I wonder if these college professors believe that Linda Sarsour and her supporters understand Islam and Sharia Law.

If a religion can only survive by banning criticism of it, it is not a very strong or well founded religion.
I'm happy for you to criticise my lack of belief, in fact I encourage it. What are Islam and other sensitive religions scared of? Is it a fear that it might have many flaws in it?

It is time that such religions join the 21st century

Still waiting for you to prove she was ever Muslim.

The second one has no credentials:

Welcome to the Weird World of Australia's 'Fake Sheikh', Mohammad Tawhidi – Opinion – ABC Religion & Ethics (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
"Here he is ushered to pose for photographs with other similarly well turned-out men of faith, all of whom have been flown in from religious communities across the globe to take part in the World Alliance of Religions Peace (WARP) summit."

"But the cheer squads are not really here for Tawhidi, and this is not really a peace conference. These ecstatic young Koreans are members of an allegedly dangerous religious cult taking part in a highly regimented North Korean-style stadium extravaganza to pay tribute to their controversial leader, Lee Man Hee."

"Welcome to the thoroughly weird world of Mohammad Tawhidi, the man the mainstream Muslim community has dubbed Australia's "fake sheikh."

"Anointed as a religious leader by the tabloid media, this Shia extremist is using its newspapers and television programs to wage a sectarian war against Australia's majority Sunni community. And their audiences can't get enough."

Where's the sword that's forcing Tens of Thousands of mostly former Christians to revert to Islam every year?

Never mind what she says.
Never mind what anyone says. Walk into any Mosque, explain you wish to take the testimony of faith, they will exchange contact details and offer help/support as a new Muslim. Don't go into the Mosque again, download call recorder app and record any calls you get. I can guarantee you not a single person will threaten or intimidate you. No one cares if you stop following the Religion.

I have been told time and again by Muslims in these very forums that I ought to think better of Islaam because there are non-Muslims who actually survive in Muslim countries. As in, they were not slaughtered yet.
That's correct, Tens of Millions of non Muslims have lived in majority Muslim Countries for over 1,400 years. 100's of Millions in the West live in neighbourhoods with Muslims. But can you give me a single instance where a Muslim on this forum has told you, "ought to think better of Islaam because there are non-Muslims who actually survive in Muslim countries." ??

Actual proponents of Islaam usually fail to even realize that refusal to entirely stoop to Mafia-level stances of threatening, passive aggression and intimidation is hardly something to be proud of.

Provide proof showing any majority Muslim Country allows people of other faiths to be threatened or intimidated. You have bad people in all societies, even yours where people of no religion attack and intimidate people of faith. Or do you think Muslim Governments are better placed to ensure everyone under their rule is a perfect law abiding citizen?

Islamists always try to discredit the messenger when they find it impossible to discredit the message.

Should I have placed this Atheist cartoon in a spoiler to protect anyone’s feelings?
