Who on this forum is known to be the most nearest to God, or God's-knowledge ?

Sea level + 1 metre. I dunno if that's actually true, I just like to think myself as out of the reach of Poseidon. Apparently he's mad at atheists for constantly using him as an example of ridiculous human God concepts.

That trident hurts!

I swear!

Judaism and Christianity support that view of the closeness of God, since we are filled with the spirit of our great God.

I like people seeing the similarities rather than the differences between religions. You are what you are filled with (God).

Blood and bone? We'll you're right...plenty of similarities. Pretty much everyone I meet seems packed to the brim with blood and bone.
Makes me wonder why we bother with such stupidities as racism when it turns out everyone's blood is the same colour.

'Oooh...I don't like that fella...he's black/yellow/red/white/purple...'

Sure, on the outside.

Meeeeeeeow my Bangladeshi doll! :p

With a theology like Deism you must be very close to god. So much good works associated with Deism. What made you choose Deism of all things?

Meow fellow cat minion. I don't know if I have even found out the true nature of God. I am still finding it out. I chose Deism because it is a rational approach to God devoid of dogmas. Moral standards and knowledge occasionally change over time. I have seen that Scriptures don't contain the absolute truth. So I can't accept them fully. But I don't mind picking the good and correct stuff from them.

Meow fellow feline!

I see you are eclectic like me then. I am a staunch atheist but have no issue with learning from religion, Hinduism and Sufism are some of my favorites. I am quite the heretic obviously :D

I honestly like Deism but I do not see it as functional int his day and age. It was a logical choice years ago but now, all of the claims by the old Deists are old.

Would you be interested in Atheism and learning about the glorious non-god? :p

Yes eclectic. But I chose the term Deism as I don't have a particular set of dogma and because I believe that worshipping God isn't mandatory. I was an atheist once and it was kind of comfortable believing that a Being wasn't behind this universe (which I find meaningless), but it's all random.

Random? Nothing in the universe is random. Everything is strictly organized as you can see. The universe has laws and abides by a set of rules which never break. If the universe was random science would be rendered pointless.
No atheist I have known believes the universe is random or meaningless.

I do know some. Natural laws have exceptions. For example in black hole. I can't remember the details but it must be related to something like time slows down as one approaches the singularity. I will get back at you via PM after I clear up my concepts.

Hehe. For the most part, yes, but those rules theoretically collapse, along with everything else, into a hungry black hole. Just sayin'...

Hello!!! all
New here. Having many..many..many questions regarding spirituality/god in my mind. Before moving-on with my questions I would like to ask you all that which person on this discussion-board is known to be the most nearest to God or God's knowledge ?

Pardon me for asking all this in a very direct manner.
~Steven.

Having debated on this forum for a good while I would be willing to enter my name in the ring although I feel it is eminently possible that someone else might qualify.
