Yes he was a myth, but its not Jesus who is important, its the message and what it points to, that is if you can see through all the garbage that has been added to it.

Yes, that is the case, and further, that 'Jesus the Nazarene' did not refer to his being a citizen of the town of Nazareth, but rather to the fact that he was a member of the Jewish mystical sect of Essenes called 'Nazarenes', referring to Paul as reported in the Bible:
For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes

It lends credence but it doesn't make it the truth. Anyway, what kind of historical verification is there that St. Thomas actually wrote it? I know of none.

Wrong strong. The Church testifies to the authenticity of the real Gospels. The Spirit does, too.

Christ makes the truth known by His Spirit. You must believe in Christ as described in John 3 or you cannot know the Spirit.

Currently. Many nations usually dated using monarchy reigns or dynasties or such things. When someone new comes along that influences the powerful, we'll pick something else to go by.
