A Hungry student learns all their life. The exercise is just to allow you to see who you are.
God is a Spiritual Being just as we are. I have had contact with God. I understand why so many are not ready for such an experience. Equally, I understand why God does not direct contact most people.
I have no way to know which of you is right. How do I tell who is right and who is wrong?God does not speak to ordinary people directly.
God only speaks to His Chosen Messengers, who are normally referred to as Prophets.
Imo, anyone else who claims that God spoke to them is delusional.
Anyone can imagine God speaks to them.
You can read about what I am claiming and see if it makes sense to you.I have no way to know which of you is right. How do I tell who is right and who is wrong?
Did you read the last line? The new Jerusalem comes down OUT OF HEAVEN. Wht would it come out of heaven if people are going to heAVEN. tHE NEW jERUSALEM WIL BE THE NEW HOME FOR PEOPLE on earth. nO ONE GOES TO HEAVEN.John 14
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
John 14:2 Jesus went to heaven to prepare a place for those who would be going to heaven.
John 14:3 "I will come again" does not refer to Jesus coming back to Earth again. We know that because Jesus said:
John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
"I will come again" refers to the Second Coming of Christ, the return of the Christ Spirit with a new name.
Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.Did you read the last line? The new Jerusalem comes down OUT OF HEAVEN. I am wondering what anyone finds ' screwed up ' about the Golden Rule or Jesus' new commandment at John 13:34-35If the god character's idea of good and evil is as screwed up as it appears to be, far better the human vision of it.
As Old Jerusalem was the seat of government in ancient Israel, so New heavenly Jerusalem will be a seat of government.Did you read the last line? The new Jerusalem comes down OUT OF HEAVEN. I think we can all agree about Jesus saying he'd be back.....Actually Jesus said he is coming back to earth. Nothing about anyone joining him in heaven.
I would like to add the word ' faithful ' to heroic and pious (righteous ones) as per Revelation 2:10.The heroic and pious. Though heaven could be anything from Elysium to Tir na Nog and so on.
Looks good to me.I am wondering what anyone finds ' screwed up ' about the Golden Rule or Jesus' new commandment at John 13:34-35
Luke 12:32 does NOT say the kingdom is in heaven. They will be given the kingdom ON EARTH.I think we can all agree about Jesus saying he'd be back.....
I find Jesus does Not come back alone according to Revelation 19:14.
There are others with Jesus ( they who are with Jesus are: called and chosen, and faithful.- ( Revelation 2:10 )
Remember: there are two (2) types of resurrections spoken about at 1 Corinthians 15:40; 1 Corinthians 15:48
Angels have No resurrection, so resurrection applies to human kind.
'Little flock' (Luke 12:32) called to Heaven, and the ' other sheep ' (Matthew 25:37) of John 10:16 to Earth.
Those ' other sheep ' are the ' great crowd ' on Earth of Revelation 7:14,9.
Whereas the ' little flock ' are in the category of John 14:2; John 14:23.
In God's house (Heaven) there are many dwellings, and there are those who ' come to Him (God)' in Heaven.
King David was one of the most faithful followers of God's plan who ever lived. If he did not ascend to heaven, what chance does any other person have?As Old Jerusalem was the seat of government in ancient Israel, so New heavenly Jerusalem will be a seat of government.
So, it is the governmental rule ( aka God's kingdom of 'thy kingdom come' ) with Christ as heavenly King.
Thus, it ' comes down ' in the same way 'God from his lofty throne' gives attention to Earth from Heaven.
God turned His attention to Earth at the time of Micah 1:2-3.
God did Not literally come down but applied His power Micah 3:8.
What was ' conformable to Jesus' death ' was his resurrection to the spirit realm - Philippians 3:10-11.
So, those called to heaven as co-rulers - Revelation 20:6; 2:20; 5:9-10 - will be with Christ in Heaven.
Just as Christ now governs the Christian congregation from Heaven without a visible presence on Earth.
So, during the 1,000-year reign of Christ in the heavens attention will be directed to Earth.
King David did Not ascend (Acts 2:34) but David will have an earthly visible presence - Isaiah 32; Ezekiel 34:24.
This means there will be earthly representatives of God's heavenly kingdom.
The Kings and Priests will be in Heaven, whereas people like King David will be like a Prince on Earth.
The kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven...Luke 12:32 does NOT say the kingdom is in heaven. They will be given the kingdom ON EARTH.
Why do you believe everything that is written in the Bible?King David was one of the most faithful followers of God's plan who ever lived. If he did not ascend to heaven, what chance does any other person have?
I have no way to know which of you is right. How do I tell who is right and who is wrong?
People like King David (Ezekiel 34:24; Isaiah 32:1;Psalms 45:16) will be given the kingdom ON EARTH as being a prince.Luke 12:32 does NOT say the kingdom is in heaven. They will be given the kingdom ON EARTH.
I find since 'most people want peace' then logically there should be more Peace on Earth. The real 'truth' could well be that no god actually exists.
Do you realize there is more than one interpretation of any verse?
The kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven...
Matthew 6:9-13 - "This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
