To be religious is simply to follow a religion in my view.Precisely: religious - not “religions”, right?
Religion can be faithless but religiousness is about faith.
Hence I see what you say as non-sequitur

Well we should be but many religious folk just seem to want to preach and not have their ideas challenged in my view.Don't most people come to a discussion forum to discuss ideas and explore beliefs? Aren't we here to question each other and enhance our understanding of the world?
Aren't here plenty of religious forums where people just preach and support each others' views; where religious opinions go unchallenged?Well we should be but many religious folk just seem to want to preach and not have their ideas challenged in my
To the contrary,Yes, you often do @danieldemol
How can we have any confidence our beliefs if they aren't challenged? We could be basing ideas on factual or logical errors.Well we should be but many religious folk just seem to want to preach and not have their ideas challenged in my view.
No, I was referring to below! To the contrary,
I post pretty much exclusively in religious debates and welcome the challenge that dissent provides.

Hey, I'm an oppressed minorityThere is a rough demographic here: What Is Your Religion or Worldview?.
I think it's important to note that religious people may be less inclined to share their beliefs in a debate venue because the are not keen on having their beliefs challenged. If you have questions for religious people, you might find they'll more readily respond to you in Religions Q&A under Interfaith Discussion.
I'm no atheist, but I do read a lot of questions posed, and contribute to very few, because either I feel I have nothing at all to contribute, or the topic doesn't interest me at all. Lots of times other people have already said what I would have said, so why repeat that point?I see very few Christians and no Muslims at all Answering my questions is there mostly atheists here ?
Most people, yes. Unfortunately, a few bad apples can spoil the whole bunch.Don't most people come to a discussion forum to discuss ideas and explore beliefs? Aren't we here to question each other and enhance our understanding of the world?

Sure it does. I'm one of those people that has no interest in debating my views. I'm glad to share them with people who ask.Nah. That has nothing to do with it.
I'm not sure this is accurate. This forum doesn't have barely any active christians, muslims, and jewish people anymore.
Well there's nobody stopping them unless the membership of theists in this forum is notably less than that of atheists.I see very few Christians and no Muslims at all Answering my questions is there mostly atheists here ?
I don't think the people here are mostly atheistsI see very few Christians and no Muslims at all Answering my questions is there mostly atheists here ?
It's not overrun with Buddhists or Sikhs either. If you'd ever like a jewish opinion, feel free to tag me. ( that's with the "at" sign. @dybmh ) There is maybe 1 active muslim here that I am aware of. Yes, this "religious" forum is a populated by many atheists. They are very eager to talk about their atheism.
Nah. That has nothing to do with it. This forum doesn't have barely any active christians, muslims, and jewish people anymore.
I've been here almost twenty years, and there seems to me there's more religiosity now than there was then.Nah. That has nothing to do with it. This forum doesn't have barely any active christians, muslims, and jewish people anymore.
We've had a few Sikhs since I've been around. None active currently that I'm aware of.It's not overrun with Buddhists or Sikhs either.
