Why are "some" old people impossible to debate with?

It's reasonable to state what you notice, & you've done it without offending this geezer.
There are differences between young & old. When I was a young'n (under 30), I was far more
the didactic know-it-all. (I know....even worse back then?) I see young folk here who I know
will be different after accumulating more experience. Some people change more than others,
& perhaps some for the worse. I've no scholarly study handy on the subject...just noticing things.

Like it or not "some" old people, youi cannot teach new tricks. Even when the math, is as simple as 1 + 1 when their minds are made up the answer is 3.


Now my post is directed at old YEC in the world, not just in this forum. So dont take it personal. Wait, since you took it that way and you do have comprehensive issues from my perspective, enjoy. ;)

I notice a difference from my age and say someone in their 20's or 30's

I can't wait till I'm old and retired, I'm only 29 and always working or busy with something.

At 67 I see myself golfing, with a cigar, a tonne of viagara and a convertible. Maybe a cute 45 year old girlfriend. Ahh the golden years.

Close........ I'm close...! :)

I am 65 and my wife is 46 (but very very poorly just now). You can have the golf, cigar and convertible (model boats and cycling for me) but you won't need a tonne of viagara, only about 50mg...... :biglaugh:

However, you know that you mustn't wish away a single day.... not one.
