Because, in Islam, there's been a line of previous monotheistic beliefs leading up to Islam, which is essentially the 'purest form' of this religion, which has been affirmed by Adam, Ibrahim/Abraham, Isaac, Jesus/Isa, John the Baptist, etc
What about the religions that have surpassed it such as Sikhism or Bahai that view everyone as messengers/prophets but progressed? (sorry Sikhs its the best word to use rn)
Well Muslims believe Muhammad was the Last Prophet. Except the Ahmadis.
But why would he be? There is still plenty to learn in this world and I'm sure god would have more to teach us & reform us again.
I'm sincerely hoping to hear from some Muslims on this question. (Not to say the conversation so far hasn't been interesting, but it seems to be outsiders looking in...)
Why be a muslim when there are religions that predate Islam?
For some people age of a religion doesnt change its authenticity. You can also put in your title or edit your fist thread to put interest in Muslim point of views too.Why be a muslim when there are religions that predate Islam?
I wish you would start a thread called "Why be an asatru and by the way what is it?"
Also this sounds like a debate topic. Probably shouldn't be in the Islam DIR.
