Amazing!!

And at the time of Nicean 323 they burned many gospels.
It seems christianity is very disorganised religion when it comes about the nature of Jesus pbuh.

U wont find this within muslims about Muhammad pbuh, or jews about Moses pbuh, or Buddhists about Buddha.
Oh, we disagree lots about the Buddha, up to and including how many there are.

It just turns out that the Buddha Dharma does not particularly need belief, and does not really rely to any significant extent on how many Buddhas there are, if any, nor what they are exactly. The Dharma must stand or fall on its own merits, if it is to have any value at all.

Because ultimately it matters little even whether there was a historical Jesus. He is in practice just a convenient symbol and reminder of various doctrines, not all of them even conceivably compatible with each other.

It is sad that Christianity has made itself a religion of beliefs. It leads to so many cross-purposes.
Yes I think that it would be better to have a book like, the Bhagavad-Gita which I love to read.

That is what I consider traditional, ie real xianity to be. The churches have obfuscated, for various reasons. Also, with misinterpretation, believers think that the text is how the beliefs came about etc.

Definitely. It is a bit awkward to see Christians and Muslims insist so much on the importance of finding True Scripture and not being misled by False Scripture.

IMO it amounts to missing the point of having a scripture in the first place. They are tools for inspiration, not articles of belief. Religious people are supposed to vouch for them, not the other way around.

That was fantastically said, I think too many are using their scriptures as weapons against each other, instead of like you said, use them for inspiration.

For us muslims its plain simple Jesus pbuh was prophet and messenger of Allah, we reject all the socalled divinity claimed against Jesus.

But when it comes to christians, they are so divided about him!
1) trinity
2) son of god
3) two nature
4) incarnation of god
5) angel michael
6) prophet and messiah( Early jewish christians)

Because Christians generally have the freedom to believe and interpret the bible as they please without the fear of being killed or imprisoned as a heretic or apostate.

But you know, I'm sure everyone being forced to agree and accept something might have...... well I'm sure you can fill in the blank.

Question Everything
Take any historical event (like a war) or person (like a president) and people will argue about the details of it. There will always be multiple viewpoints and opinions on every subject matter, including religion, so long as people are not living in a police state where voicing personal opinions is not punished with beheadings....

There is no division concerning Jesus among believers who are born-again (John 3:3,7). Misconceptions about Jesus and even outright antichrist lies (2 John 1:7) arise among those who are Christians in name only.

The early christians did believe, that Jesus is the devine son of God, that He died for our sins, that his tomb was empty, that he appeared to 500 people and went to heaven. Read Pauls letters from 50 A.D like philipians.

"Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Sects were built on dogmatic beliefs like Trinity or who is the antichrist. It happens with every religion. Even islam is devided into sects because of dogmatic beliefs like succession of Muhammad, hadiths or interpretation of Quran. There is even a sects that believes that Muhammad is devine, And Ali God. And I don't think that either sect of islam can be right, because they disobey one of Allahs laws to not split into sects. Islam is doomed. Islam is devided exactly like christianity, and I guess your sects will come into paradies, and others won't. I bet you think, that your sect is the only right one, no? Guess what, almost every sect thinks that.

Your text clearly states that Jesus existed in the form of God.
Then, seems to separate Him from God, saying that God exalted Him. Which is it? /rhetorical question.
Can be interpreted as two ways, one, Jesus literally is G-d, the other, Jesus is some other entity.

1) trinity = John
2) son of god = Everywhere.
3) two nature = Paul
4) incarnation of god = Paul
5) angel michael = Revelations misattributed.

Dissect the authors of the different text, then it makes it far easier to understand where the different theologies come from. :innocent:

That's not true. What about all of the Hadiths that some Muslims adhere to and some don't? What about the fights between Shiites and Sunnis. There is a plethora of theological disagreement rampant in Islam. How can you just disregard this?

What do you mean by "Christian in name only" specifically? What are the requirements for being a "real" Christian? I know the Bible pretty well, and I understand the "born-again" philosophy, but are their specifics?

I believe the truth comes by the Paraclete and Muslims and many Christians lack that.

U do know that the disagreement between shias and sunnis is regarding the political leadership?
They never disagree about that Muhammad pbuh was the last prophet and messenger of Allah.

I wouldnt make this topic if the disagreement amongst christians was about the leadership after Jesus pbuh left. However their main disagreement is not leadership but the Nature of Jesus pbuh.

I believe it goes deeper than that. The Shia formed a military mindset and as the Bible puts it left following Allah to follow Ares the god of war.

What the Bible teaches about Jesus is consistent and clear. I believe the confusion about Jesus arose as a result of an apostasy from the true Christian religion. Nowhere does the Bible teach that Jesus is 1) trinity, 3) two nature, 4) incarnation of God.
Just as a man can perform multiple roles, husband, father, breadwinner; he may be an executive, a cook, a baker, or bus driver. Jesus was both a prophet and the Messiah, or anointed one, the Son of God. He is called the faithful and true Witness at Revelation 3:14, and the Word at John 1:1. All these are descriptions of roles Jesus plays in fulfilling God's purpose. Jesus always told the truth about himself. When he was arrested by the Jews, he himself explained who he is. "Again the high priest began to question him and said to him: “Are you the Christ the Son of the Blessed One?” Then Jesus said: “I am; and you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power and coming with the clouds of heaven.” (Mark 14:61,62)
