Why did God Not Allow Humanity To Be All Knowing ?

Why does God Want Humans In A State Of Ignorance ? In my opinion that's what dictators and other evil people want If God Really Was good he would have made humanity with the ability to understand and know everything that there is to know.

Think of it this way: a healthy child is open-hearted, intelligent, present, attentive, curious and trusting of what it encounters. Experience takes that away and as parents we often mourn this inevitable -yet, in terms, necessary- loss of innocence in our children.

For it is our innocence -not our ignorance- which is sacred and although it requires much effort, courage and faith; one’s innocence can be rebuilt.

I think humans know a great deal

I mean genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, aeroplanes, nuclear weapons......

And we are getting more and more advanced

If we were living in caves then yes, we would be in a stare of ignorance but we have Wikipedia!

So I reject your premise

One reason that God did not make humanity with the ability to understand and know everything that there is to know is because humans do not need to know everything that there is to know. If they knew everything, what would be left to learn?

The other reason God did not make humanity with the ability to understand and know everything that there is to know is because humans are not capable of understanding everything all at once.

“How great the multitude of truths which the garment of words can never contain! How vast the number of such verities as no expression can adequately describe, whose significance can never be unfolded, and to which not even the remotest allusions can be made! How manifold are the truths which must remain unuttered until the appointed time is come! Even as it hath been said: “Not everything that a man knoweth can be disclosed, nor can everything that he can disclose be regarded as timely, nor can every timely utterance be considered as suited to the capacity of those who hear it.​

Scientific and religious Truth are both relative to the times in which they are discovered/revealed by God. In science, as new discoveries are made they will often replace what was previously considered factual. In religion, Truth from God is additive, and is revealed in stages as humanity is able to understand more and as humanity needs more. That is why Jesus said “John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” God is All-Knowing meaning God knows everything, so if All of God’s Truth was revealed all at once, we would not be able to understand it and we would be dumbfounded. Truth needs to be suited to the capacity of the recipients living at the time.

On a scale where on one extreme there is complete ignorance and on the other complete knowledge, we all stand much closer to complete ignorance than to complete knowledge.

If i believed in God then i would know that the reason humans are not all knowing is that they'd make endless war in heaven. Besides God favors komodo dragons over humans don't ya know. What if all knowing is an impossibility?

Well that's easy. It's because God is in the state of ignorance because it's creators are as well.

That's why we have science.
